Advice

So I noticed the life oracle's familiar gets fast healing and I was wondering if there were any good options for taking advantage of this. Is there any spell or fear for taking some life from the familiar? Remember that the familiar has both the ability to share spells and deliver touch spells.

Shield other is the closest thing I've found so far.

The Protector Familiar Archetype means you and your familiar can split damage whenever you want like Shield Other as long as you're touching each other.

Blood of the Martyr is a creepy way to do this. I thought about doing this with my PFS Life Shaman, but have never been in a situation where channels weren't keeping up and I wanted to use spells.

2nd level cleric spell, 1 round/level, the subject bleeds 1d6/4levels, but someone else can drink the blood each round to heal twice as much. So potentially 10d6 healing for a 2nd level spell when you can get it (at 5th) at the cost of 5d6 (~18) HP from your familiar. At 8th, it jumps to 32d6(!) but that is probably more than enough to kill your familiar, even through the fast healing. So you're practically limited to healing (your total hit points + your level) for a 2nd level spell, some time, and the creepy factor.

Path of Glory is probably the closest comparison, around 20 (level*number of wounded allies) in a similar time frame.

But your allies have to drink the blood that's erupting from your little buddy.

Blood of the Martyr just became my new favorite spell.

My former favorite? Shared Sacrifice. Any damage you take is split between yourself and the target of the spell. If you're making a straight life oracle (and not the ever popular oracle-paladin build), this is your go-to.

Seriously... you can make a really creepy but awesome character with those three spells. Life Oracle's Life Link ability would allow you to take 5 damage from each ally each turn and heal them for that much. Shared Sacrifice would send half that damage to another target (hopefully an enemy). Blood of the Martyr would let you bleed your familiar/companion for twice 1d6/4 levels of healing (which you would eat 5 pts of that per turn with Life Link... and send half of that to the enemy).

You're a healer, kinda... but you're just manipulating the life stream. Steal life from your cuddly buddy. Steal his pain, too. Give his life to your allies in exchange for their pain. Give half the pain to an enemy and heal up from the life you stole from your cuddly buddy. Could be nicely themed as an awesome necromancer.

To make sure, The bleed from Blood of the Martyr wouldn't be stopped by fast healing?

Except where noted here, fast healing is just like natural healing.

Oddly, bleed specifically requires a spell that cures hit point damage. Which is way more specific than usually quoted.

But no, fast healing pretty clearly doesn't qualify to stop the bleed.

Would Life Link stop the bleed damage, though?

Oddly, fast healing from a natural source (think a trol's fast healing) does not, but fast healing from a spell (think Infernal Healing) does stop bleed. When an alchemical item that grants fast healing (Trolls Styptic) it would not stop bleed, as it is not magical. Troll Styptic specifically calls out that it DOES stop bleed (so long as the bleed meets the criterion) as a result of this bizarreness regarding bleed and fast healing.
