Cudgeler Takedown

Rules Questions

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

Cudgeler Style says that for your first attack each round the size catagory is increased by 1 for weapon damage

Cudgeler Takedown (the progression for this feat) also increases the size catagory for damage for 1 round

The impact special weapon ability also increases size catagory for damage by 1

do they all stack?

bump

Tricky. Both seem to apply an "upgrade" to the base weapon, rather than applying a bonus. But given that the sources are completely different, I'd say they stack.

If possible I'd like to know if this has any RAW answer.

no? okay :(

This faq seems related to your question. In this case similar abilities do not work.

However, looking at the two feats, I would assume they don't stack since they do two different things.

Cudgeler Style lets you treat the weapon as one size larger when you 1. deal non-lethal damage and 2. for that attack.

Cudgeler Takedown lets you deal damage as 1 size larger after a charge and for one round or until it leaves your hand. This feat expands on when you treat your weapon as one size larger rather than stacking.

As for impact, I would say no. I think the intention of these is not to stack, as they tend to say "deal damage as if one size category larger", meaning that each one effectively does the exact same thing, treat it as one size category larger. This means they don't stack because 1. they don't say they stack and 2. they don't use wording to increase the size category but to set it at the next size category.

Keep in mind that you can stack this with Enlarge Person or effects that change your size rather than the size of the weapon.
