Oradin stat increases

Advice

I'm currently playing an gathion blooded Aasimar Oradin in a semi-homebrew game. It's a large party and we recently gained a free +2 to any ability score. At level 2 my ability scores are as follows

16 str
12 dex
16 con
10 int
7 wis
17 cha

At fourth level my increase will be put into cha, but I'm at a loss for where to put the rest. In general, would an oradin benefit more from having the free 2 in strength at this point, or should I dump everything into cha? I'm going to be the group's primary healer but also contribute heavily in melee using a two-hander. Long term I will reach level 4 in Oracle and the rest in Paladin (hospitaler).

I dunno what function you truly had in mind for your Oradin, but I'm guessing both Melee and Healing.

Can I offer that Con is also a viable way to distribute the +2, for an extra HP per level?

However CHA does seem optimal. You gain another LOH per day, another +1 on all saves.

As an oracle your most important stat is CHA, as a paladin your most important stat is STR. Do you see yourself as more of a paladin, or more of a oracle. If you see yourself as more paladin put the +2 to STR, if you see yourself as more oracle than put the +2 to CHA.

I'd go with Str. Since you took the levels of Oracle, you are lagging behind by one BAB. The Str bump will compensate for that, as well as pushing you into +6 damage with a two hander, from the +4 you have now.

I'm definitely leaning more toward strength on account of it increasing damage by two rather than just one. Most future increases, however, will go to charisma.

Assuming that you're keeping multiple life links up, I'd say go with Con. I know that my Oradin needs all the hit points he can get when four party members each transfer five hit points a round from him during tough fights.

I vote strength, but i am also in the offense over defense Camp.

Here's a quick breakdown of the most significant benefits of each. I'm using this mostly for my benefit in thinking this through, but if I miss anything please point it out.

Str: +1 to hit, +2 to damage

Con: +1 hp per level, +1 to fortitude save

Cha: +1 use of LoH per day, +2 channels per day, +1 to spell DC

You forgot +1 to all saves (Paladin's Divine Favor) and additional bonus spells if you put it in Charisma.

I would tend towards Charisma, but it really depends on which of the two classes you plan to focus on -- Paladin or Oracle. If you are going more Paladin and are using a two-handed weapon, the +2 Strength gives +2 damage rather than +1 damage because of the 1.5x strength bonus.

And with this, you can ask.

How often do you Fail a save?
How often do you run out of LoH?
Isent it only 1/2 Channel?
How often do you cast spells with a DC?
How often do you Fail to hit or kill a bad guy when you swing at him?
Without seeing your paladin i guess that str is still the best stat.
Edit: and how often do you run out of HP?

That was a big one I left out. So far I have never used all of my channels. I will be focusing more on Paladin, though I have less smite due to hospitaler. This means I will be relying on strength more for consistent damage than the charisma during smite.
