Ecclesitheurge Armor

Rules Questions

Is there any negative effect on blessing of the faithful if an Ecclesitheurge has mage armor cast on her or is wearing an amulet of natural armor? I assume that the "armor" information below only pertains to physical armor (e.g. chain mail) but wanted to be certain.

Advanced Class Guide p. 91
Ecclesitheurge’s Vow: At 1st level, an ecclesitheurge makes
a vow to his deity to be protected solely by his faith, not by
armor or shields. An ecclesitheurge who wears prohibited
armor or uses a prohibited shield is unable to use his blessing
of the faithful ability, use cleric domain powers, or cast
cleric spells

Mage armor and natural armor are not armor or shields.

Natural armor is fair game for sure. Your mileage may vary on mage armor since it is an actual armor bonus but I would rule its allowed.

Oven that
I me can have both I'd say sure.

Mage Armour is an armour bonus but it's not armour. It's OK for monks, therefore OK for the Ecclesitheurge.

The intent was to restrict wearing armor, not to preclude any armor bonuses. Think of it like what a wizard can wear (minus the kilt and mithral buckler).

Thank you all!

Wow... I'm looking at the typos past me did... I have no idea what past me was trying to say... This is embarrassing...
