I love PF. For my B-day I bought core rulebook and read it front to back until I figured it out. I wanted someone to play with but they aren't as focused as me so I bought them a BB for there B-day. Its been a year and while they know the rules and GM they won't transfer. I even convinced them to add some rules from the Core Rulebook but they won't switch. I really am tired of them not changing and feel annoyed. He runs a small larp league as GM so is always in a position of power. If he doesn't change no one will. I'm sorry got a bit ranty. What should I do?

OR, if that upsets them and they kick you out as GM immediately...perhaps running the BB but instead of FORCING additional rules on them, OPEN it up with more options. So, now they can play any of the classes or choose any of the feats or any of the talents or any of the spells from the CRB. In addition, you can allow more of the equipment from the CRB and utilize additional levels OVER the BB with the CRB.
I would suggest introducing them more to the full game with MORE OPTIONS instead of more LIMITATIONS.
I too would be somewhat hesitant if all I saw from the CRB were more limitations instead of options (so saying enemies get AoO would limit my movement more, saying I get DEX penalties or have a max DEX on Armor types is a limitation...etc..etc...etc). Players don't really go for more rules that they may feel LIMIT them, but if you give them more options, normally one or two MIGHT feel inclinded to give a few of them a whirl.
Another options as well, AFTER you give them the opportunity to choose from additional CRB OPTIONS that open up the game more for them, buy the strategy guide when it comes out and let them utilize that if they so desire in their opening of options.

Thing is, not everyone likes the same kind of RPGs.
Pathfinder has lots of crunchy rules which lead to a huge tactical depth. (Which I love.) But if your friend isn't not all that interested in tactical depth, that doesn't really matter. If he's more interested in intricate intrigue or deep character development, PF doesn't actually do anything special that other RPGs (including the BB) don't already do. That's just not PF's special niche.

Find another group.
If you cant suck it up and play the way they want to.
Personally, and this isn't a judgement just my personal preference, I'd just as soon as NOT play than to play a game I don't like or with people I don't like.
