I should probably have said good/lawful above, since I meant it in alignment terms.
I'm talking primarily about the attack in an NPC town, but it relates to both. You don't need to know who did it specifically. Naming them here would not have been appropriate. I'm not sure it is even possible to know who took a tower unless you actually see them do it, so your expectations are a bit out there.
When I went to pick up my son from his after school club last night he wasn't there. Neither were any of the kids from his school. The responsible adult there told me that they had not been following the road safety rules when they had been walked down the road from the school to the club so they had been marched back to the school again, and told to follow the rules. No-one was singled out for not following the rules. The point was they had to learn that everyone had to follow the rules and they were all responsible for everyone following the rules.

I can tell ALL of my people ALL day long not to do something wrong, but unless I know who did what I can not fix the problem at its source. These are adults here, not children, I do not approach the situation as if they were children. I also do not want to enforce a group mentality where they punish each other for what one person did wrong, nor do I want to punish everyone for what a single individual did wrong. There will be consequences, I assure you, for the person in question has a lot to answer for, a process I explained in great detail to your leadership.
The tower thing we found out who did that immediately, and again I was told that wasn't really an issue, but someone attacking someone was in fact the bigger issue. I asked for a name, or a screenshot, or basically any information. I don't think it is unreasonable to ask for information regarding an accusation.
I am pretty sure if the roles were reversed you would in fact want to know exactly who did what, or at least a name so that you can do an internal investigation and see both sides of the story. Naming them here wouldn't have been appropriate, but sending me any information at all would have been, which isn't what happened.

but you neglect to mention that I did not order them to attack, nor did any of our Order's faithful advance of their own accord.
Actually, I did not.
"For added clarity and information - the TEO group did not zerg rush us and I was not complaining about being attacked. Their presence caused lag and even then I was not complaining about dying. (The light of their armour distracted me, blahblahblah..)"
This may help remove some of the confusion around my IC complaint, from the Six River Freedoms:
This freedom draws the moral distinction between stealing and robbery. In the River Kingdoms, it is more preferable to face your robber, to be allowed the opportunity to resist (and perhaps to repossess!). It is acceptable (and perhaps worthy of praise) to take what you want by force.
They did not take what they wanted by force. They stole from me after I was cut down without any ability to defend myself. Asha is from the River Kingdoms and abides by the Six River Freedoms. As far as he is concerned your actions were no better than any other common thief.

@Lahasha, Specifically, I was referring to the first time our group spotted yours, when TEO and AGC exchanged nothing more than risk-assessing glances. The second encounter of the night was Asha's unfortunate demise.
@Asha's concerns:
I care little if you consider the incident theft. Consider yourself lucky that the River Kingdoms aren't plagued with the demons Mendev faces. There, you learn quickly what one must sacrifice in the name of protecting the ones you care for. Allegiant Gemstone Company's band of murderers and thieves themselves may come to Keeper's Pass to sate their bloodlust in the future, but they won't be shooting arrows drawn from the quivers made using the recipe I took from your remains myself.
You'd be naive to think Atheory or any of his bandits would do us any kind of courtesy you expect me to show you.

At least you've honour enough to admit what you've done with your own words. Meet me in fair battle and I will consider my issue to be handled justly, whatever the outcome.

1 guy vs 150. I'm *sincerely* honored that I produced enough content to get on your kill list. <3
It will definitely be neat to see you guys in action when you try to fight people you don't outnumber by 5 to 1 in manpower. Will be some good action I bet.
We'd love to do that with you but it would require you having friends...

ITT: Players either RP themselves not RPing the act of digging their own grave, or players refusing to RP about other people RPing. Also KC
Haha, yeah its all fun n games. I don't actually hate anyone in this game, yet.
Except that annoying kobold. I'd swear kobolds are just a cross between a halfling and Jar Jar Binks. Epic annoyance.

Ooo, that's a low blow, even for a kobold.

Personally I think this whole thread is, pardon my French, stupid. As the guy involved in the NPC starter issue, I suffered no permanent harm, no adverse effect other than interruption of recruiting and some irritation. I reported it to GW when I thought the attack might be a predator looking for new players. When communication revealed I was specifically targeted for a specific reason, I contacted GW again and indicated I was no longer concerned about the safety of new players. At that point, i attributed it to a poor choice of location for the player to have attacked, but not something to ruin his name or his opportunity to play this game.
It may not be fair, but I will admit that when I found out the person was a member of TEO, I was more irritated then if they had been a member of a group I would naturally suspect. But as I have told Cheatle, I don't hold any ill will towards anyone, and I don't think the player should suffer any consequences for making one wrong decision (or forgetting the rule about starter settlements). I feel sorry for the player that any of this became public, and for that I apologize. I think the event could have made for some entertaining in game future content rather than this mess.
This whole thing has been blown way out of proportion and all involved should be allowed to get on and play this game.

I read this three times in a row as "I can tell ALL of my children ALL day long..."
Was like, TEO people are weeeird.
It's a shame Kabal's concerns weren't brought up in a more appropriate setting, then.
Not really. I'm glad this was brought up here—the whole point of these politics is to weave an exciting narrative to get people excited for the big game. This thread has been a ton of fun. It probably would have been better to go for both settings at once, though.
it is with great regret that I inform you that no popcorn was harmed.
i accidentally in your popcorn ated it
What? I get stressed sometimes. :(
