Any Prestige Classes Worth The Loss

Advice

just wondering if there are any prestige classes worthwhile to an Abyssal Bloodrager?

Depends on what you want and if you get it from the base class?

Evangelist can be useful for classes that only get 2 skill ranks per level, especially Cleric and Sorcerer.

The loss of FCB is a big deal when looking at PrCs. Still, some of them can be worth it.

playing a half-elf natural attacker who thinks he is going to grow into being a dragon (things in game have led him to further believe it) so really something that can further this belief without being so...or really enhance natural attacks

Eventually putting a couple levels into Dragon Disciple could definitely fit the character. It isn't exactly clear how it works with Bloodrager bloodlines, so you'd have to talk to your DM. 4 levels would be a BAB loss of 1, but +4 Strength to make-up that loss. I'd wait until around level 12 before considering it. Get at least one rage Str boost.

Lantern Bearer, would only recommend for fighter using a simple build, well it's elf/half-elf, half-elf using a two handed weapon with power attack, from level 6 and above, you still get full bab, spells (including freedom of movement at 7th level), favored enemy, weapons become good aligned, cold-iron, hide in plain sight, Holy aura etc...frankly a nice way to get powers for a good half-elf and if your dm is friendly to the idea of the lantern bearer organization, you can even teleport between your organization gates.

In general, prestige classes aren't there to make characters more powerful. It is more that they open interesting paths at the exchange of specialization. So it is more a personal choice on how you'd like to see your character move forward.

For a Bloodrager? No. There are no prestige classes worth losing class progression. For you especially, the key point of the Abyssal bloodline comes in at 12th level so you don't want to delay that any.

I always thought of it as a Ranger progression, myself.
