Iconics for some of the Archetypes?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Maybe I searched badly, but I could only find Iconics for the base classes. Spattered through the books are some pictures for some Archetypes. I would assume these are Iconics, just like the base classes.

If my 'search-foo' is good that means Paizo has decided not to make iconics for the these particular archetypes.

Or..(I might answer my own question)..by putting stats for a few archetypes people would want stats and pictures for others and that would be a big mess they don't want.

I was mostly interested in the Dervish Dancer (bard).

Sovereign Court

You are wondering if the dervish dancer depicted in Ultimate Combat is named somewhere? As far as I know, nope, it's just an illustration.

Iconics are only for the 20 level classes from Core, APG and ACG. No arch types either, although... I think the ninja and samurai got around that and do have iconics.

Ninja and Samurai are technically "alternate classes", rather than archetypes.

Iconics are recurring characters that are used as premades for adventures. They are not archetyped because the idea is that these are simpler characters for people joining it. Also, they are the "iconic" member of a class for storytelling and what not.

Why would there be an iconic archetype?

The same reason you climb a mountain, because it's there. :)

But I see your reasoning.

It also makes sense that if they wanted a story behind each of the archetypes they would have had a crap-load of pictures and the books would have been bigger.
