Collective nouns for classes

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Scarab Sages

Someone posted this the other day, and it just tickled my funnybone until I had to give it a go. The idea here is to provide a 'collective noun' (like a pod of whales or a herd of deer) for all the pathfinder classes. I've tried to do this, but if you have some suggestions please pitch in.

Couple thins
1) I tried to stick to things that couldn't be actually said. So while a 'church of clerics' would be great, you could actually conceivably be talking about a church full of clerics, and not just 'any old meeting of clerics, regardless of location.' For that reason, I've tried to make things clear cut
2) I've tried to, as much as possible, stick to actual terms for collective nouns in English used. I'll have to make up some, but I'm going to try and stick to actual nouns that I've appropriated. It's more fun that way, I think.

A mess of alchemists (from iguanas)

A scourge of antipaladins (from mosquitos)

A memory of archanists (from Elephants)

A murder of barbarians (from Crows) alternately, a tribe or clan of barbarians already kind of exists, but it implies something else

A chattering of bards (Choughs-the bird) alternately a lamentation (if you hate bards, from swans)

A pandemonium of bloodragers (from parrots)

A drunkenship of brawlers (from cobblers! Someone didn't like shoe makers back in the day!)

A crash of Cavaliers (from rhinoceroses) alternately, a brigade of soldiers/cavaliers already exists

A wisdom of clerics (from wombats) alternately, a congregation of worshipers/clerics already exists.

A herd of Druids (as they can LITERALLY shape-shift into a herd)

A route of fighters (same as wolves) alternately, a contingent of guards/soldiers already exists

A singularity of Gunslingers (same as boar)

A pack of Hunters

A zeal of gunslingers (Zebras)

A sleuth of investigators (bears)

A 'gish' of Maguses (as made popular on the other thread), Alternately, a 'castystab' of maguses

A smack of monks (jellyfish) alternately a sect of monks already exists.

A Dissimulation of ninja (bees)

An exaltation of Oracles (larks)

A kindness of paladins (take on an unkindness of ravens)

An ambush of Rangers (tigers)

A rabble of rogues (insects) Alternately a band/gang/den of thieves/rogues already exists

A destruction of Samurai (cats)

A scold of Shaman (Jays) alternately a tribe/clan of shaman sort of already exists (though not politically correct by any means!)

A Storytelling of Skalds (Rooks)

An Unkindness of slayers (ravens)

A mischief of sorcerers (mice)

An Ostentation of swashbucklers (peacocks)

A superfluity of Warpriests (nuns)

A cast of witches (from hawks) Alternately a coven of witches already exists.

A shrewdness of Wizards (Apes)

It's technically a subclass, but:
A Plague of Necromancers.

Also, owing to one particular use of "magi", I would suggest:
An Epiphany of Magi.

Sovereign Court

A weeaboo of Ninjas.

How about a gift of Magi?

Silver Crusade

An avatar of Kinetists

couldn't help myself

I think a council of wizards? or maybe a library?

Sort of not really. There are collective nouns for specific groups of humans. Army of soldiers, a congregation of worshipers, a staff of employees (superfluity of nuns) etc. These are all considered collective nouns, but only cater to a specific group of humans. The largest group, arguably, would be a 'culture' of humans (which makes us sound like bacteria, and I'll leave the political ramifications of that one alone for right now.)

I can see that though.

A whimsy of elves
An order of dwarves
A curiosity of gnomes

ANYWAY, I thought I might add the NPC classes, just for a bit of extra fun.

A party of PCs (duh)
A piteousness NPCs (from doves)

A convocation of Adepts (from Eagles)
A bouquet of Aristocrats (from pheasants)
A drove of peasants (from cattle)
A busyness of experts (from ferrets)
A nuisance of warriors (same as houscats)

For the races tangent:

An Exasperation of Kender
