Are the rest of you on the ship as well?
If so, it looks like I'll have a nice amount of movies to watch.
Do Trilogies count as one movie if we so wish?
If they don't...the movies would be...
1. All 6 Star Wars movies
2. All 4 Indiana Jones movies.
And...I'm done.
If movie series count as one...
then
1. Star Wars series
2. Indiana Jones series
3. Star Trek series of movies
4. LotR Trilogy
5. The Hobbit Trilogy
7. The Dark Knight trilogy
8. Burton's Batman movies
9. The Mummy Trilogy
10. The Rocky Movies

1. First Matrix movie.
2-4. Extended version of Lord of the Rings
5. A massive spliced-together home movie, mostly of events in my son's life.
6. Hero, a Hong Kong movie from 2002. Original language of course - can't stand dubbing.
7. Castle in the Sky by Studio Ghibli. Original language.
8. The Time Machine, 2002
9. A Christmas Carol, the one with Patrick Stewart.
10. maybe Avatar? Some kind of flashy sci-fi movie with lots of CGI, in any case.
That was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Of course the reality is I'd smuggle aboard a mini or micro sd card or 10, containing all the ebooks, movies, and gaming pdfs that would fit.
Edit: Just noticed people are doing TV shows too.....so my number 11 would be Doctor Who.

I would want my ten to reflect different places I would want to remember;
1- Star Wars: A New Hope
2- Star Trek: Undiscovered Country
3- Serenity
4- Lord of the Rings
5- Jurassic Park
6- Matrix
7- Ghost in the Shell
8- Gundam: Chars Counterattack
9- Avatar
0- Pirates of the Carribean
This would be easier if you could cheat and bring whole series or movie sequels.

Who would trust a 'space' ship that is apparently advanced enough to get to alpha centauri, but some how has an arbitrarily small amount of digital storage space for 10 'movies' which can vary wildling in length, file size and format....
Anyway,
1-3. lord of the rings extended cut
4. Blade Runner - Super Extended Cut
5. Boondock Saints
6. Rounders
7. Robin Hood, Men in Tights
8. Pitch Perfect
9. Kung Fu Hustle
10. Blazing Saddles
But really i'd just sneak a portable hardrive on with me and load digital conversions of my entire movie and tv show collection.

Or fill the same space with digital books, they'll take up far more time than movies. Including at least some RPG for even more hours of entertainment per Meg.

In no particular order:
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Beverly Hills Cop
Robocop
Stranger Than Fiction
O Brother Where Art Thou?
The Shining
Time Bandits
Hot Fuzz
The Fifth Element
2001: A Space Odyssey would be on the list, except I'm in space on a spaceship, so why would I watch a movie about being on a spaceship? If this were my post apocalyptic bunker movie list, it'd be on there.

In no order
Fist of Legend
Die Hard
The Dark Knight
Ghost in the Shell
Seven Samurai
Star Wars: A New Hope
Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back
Pulp Fiction
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
The Big Lebowski
I might consider Lord of the Rings if it were only 1 movie. I enjoy it, but not enough to take up 3 slots. At 1 slot it would be good enough to replace SW:ANH.
These aren't necessarily my favorite movies, but ones I know I can rewatch again and again.

If I already boarded with my choice I would be agitated when I realized that I forgotten The Princess Bride. Probably hammering at a porthole and asking if you'd consider a swap...
