Anyone have any good Holiday (Halloween) campaigns?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

My group tries to do Holiday themed short events near the festive times of the year, and this year we're doing Carnival of Tears for the Halloween season.

Anyone else have any special themed campaigns, modules, etc?

Last year for Christmas, my DM grabbed the script from the Big Bang Theory episode and we ran a close approximation of their adventure. This time around, we'll be doing a "KISS Saves Santa" style sidestory as a part of our Reign of Winter campaign.

I'll let you know how the homebrew I'm doing goes.

Had fun with it. The party was followed by those animated scarecrows that are in Molthune over the course of four days, before facing a group of them in a village with lots of foreshadowing.

Should have thrown the Advanced Simple Template on the scarecrows though to factor in that the party had levelled up.

Molthune Animated Scarecrow CR 1

Medium Construct

Initiative +0, Perception +7, Stealth +1, Low Light Vision, Darkvision 60 ft.

HP 25 (1d10+20)
AC: 12 (Touch 10, Flat 12, Natural Armor +2)
Speed 20 ft.
Melee: 2 claws +2 (1d4+1)
STR 12 DEX 10 CON -- INT 3 WIS 12 CHA 9

CMB +2, CMD 12, Skill Focus (Perception)

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I played with the idea of a 'first contact' scenario between humans from across the sea and savage elves.

It'd be an interesting homebrew with combat and non-combat encounters.
Like the pilgrims and natives of so long ago.Maybe incorporate another idea I had about the elves of this New World.

They don't know what magic is! Arcane energy is everywhere here.Lights and sounds manifest. Once in a while an elf shows signs of magical aptitude and is exiled from the group.A budding sorcerer who doesn't understand what is happening to him/her.

Lots of diplomacy checks.Opportunities to help or exploit this newly discovered race. The party could a scouting party sent ahead to survey/explore the building site for the colony.

Their actions or lack of action determine the future relations between these two peoples.

If there's an Elf in the party,...I don't know how to finish that thought. Just some ideas...Happy Gaming,M

I ran my group through the Frozen Wind module - http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/95894/Frozen-Wind-PFRPG

Overall, the ice zombies/increasing cold worked out well to give a Halloween feel.

I'm glad you enjoyed playing Frozen Wind. You ought to try Haiku of Horror: Autumn Moon Bath House for an excellent one-shot ghostly encounter in Kaidan. (I'm might be biased since I wrote, designed and did the cartography for this.)

I did the map and page layout for Frozen Wind, however.

I wanna write up a oneshot adventure for halloween. Necromancer goes to the meat market. Probably easiest to do with a bones oracle that grabbed the Undeath word with the Experimental Spellcaster feat.
