SAY MY NAME!
I am looking for a fun campaign to play in, but I'm too damned arrogant and lazy to sift through all your disorganized recruitment threads. If you want me, you need to recruit me. I'm well worth the effort. If you don't know who I am, ask FictionFan. He will tell you how awesome I've been for his Kingmaker campaign.
I am primarily looking for a game with minimal house rules (homebrew settings are fine), that allows for (cooperative) evil characters, and is relatively high level (10+). I'm hoping for something fast-paced, with one or more posts a day. Feel free to hit me up even if your campaign falls a little short of my expectations. Who knows? You just might pique my interest and get to play with someone famous.

Ravingdork |

I dunno, go read the threads like everybody else, dork! :P
Well...I did. I just can't seem to find anything that looks remotely interesting. So I was hoping this might allow me to get wind of some that have fallen off the first page or otherwise not be easily accessible.
I'll run a game for a single character of 20th level+10th tier mythic. 40 point buy with ten times WBL, but no more than 7 major artifacts.
You can only play a Drow Noble Aristocrat though.
Can't say that I'm interested.
Those are pretty tight requirements and you're going to have a hard time fulfilling them here. With the current PBP culture, few APs make it that far.
Why does it have to be an adventure path? I'm perfectly fine with a homebrew adventure or one of Paizo's high level one-shot modules. I can slide on the evil bit, but I've been itching for a high level game for MONTHS now.

Adahn_Cielo |

You'll just have to wait like anyone else. :P
Aside from that, there is currently a recruitment going for The Moonscar+The Witchwar Legacy: if I'm not mistaken, those are 2 of the highest level modules there is. The recruitment thread is called "With Great Power (and something)". I'm from phone, so I can't link it now.

I once went and asked James Jacobs if he was interested in joining a PbP I was going to run.
He's about the level of person I think it warrants for a DM to go out of their way to convince to join their game.
You're not even close to that RD. Especially since many folks who come here to play PbP don't even read the threads you're most active in.
Not sure if this is meant to be tongue in cheek from you, but it may just backfire on you.
I reckon if you actually want to get involved in this part of the boards, you wait and apply like everyone else. Or, do like some do and start a game as DM for something you want.

Likewise there's a level 7 superhero campaign recruiting that's gestalt + mythic 3. With race building. And some 3pp support.
Not sure if that qualifies as high level, or tickles your fancy.
Nothing else comes to mind for me that hasn't already been mentioned. If you're like me, and not involved in PFS, -ample- use of the 'hide thread' feature will take you a very long way on the recruitment threads. :)

Hi RD
I enjoy your characters and posts. The PFS Game Day has certainly swamped the Recruiting thread.
I would recommend this 16th level game. The GM is great and demands lots of well-written background.
cheers

Thanks! I'll be sure to check this one out.

why should i attempt to recruit you? all you have given me was one simple reference? if anything, you should have given three or more references to recruit you.
also, you stated up front that you are arrogant and lazy. why would I, a DM, want someone like that in my adventure or campaign? I would have to go out of my way to make sure that you dont railroad the adventure just because "it piqued my interest, but its fading fast, so to make it amusing i'll just be a DB, cuz im evil".
I have been on this board for a few years, and yes i have seen your name come up in a multitude of recruitment threads, let alone other areas on this website. But nothing you have said or done has warranted "famous" status.
While you may be looking for something that has "piqued" your interest, you have not piqued mine. In fact, your original post actually just did something to me that has never happened before. The idea of banning someone from any games that i DM.
Congrats RD, you may be arrogant and Lazy, but hey, now you can say that your the first player ever to be banned from one of my games without even playing in it.
I am not someone famous. I am just a guy who appreciates the players that take the time to post in my campaigns; and I help bring the roleplaying experience to people in the real world.

I was the co-DM for the group that finished Skull and Shackles from beginning to end in four months. We're one of the two PBP APs to ever finish on these boards.
I'm also DMing a Rise game that's midway through book four (22 months) and am co-DMing a Second Darkness game that's starting book five (15 months). Both of these campaigns will finish.
Would a DM like me be willing to host a RD? Perhaps. Your posting record and passion for the game are great but your focus on optimization is discouraging and not something I necessarily want among my players. Would you be open to toning it down?

Well I can tell you that Ravingdork has done almost all my book keeping for me as well as keeping up the maps and clearing up all the players character sheets. I guess there are some advantages to recruiting a graphic designer.
Also despite his expert knowledge of the game I have personally found that he does not power game that much. In fact he is usually the one that lets me know when the rules work against him. Also he has been the most active poster.
Of course the fact that I sent him an invite likely helped.

Ravingdork |

EDIT: Ninja'd by the aforementioned DM! lol. /edit
RIZZENMAGNUS, had you followed up on that contact I left, you would likely realize that I'm a more dedicated and hardworking roleplayer than most of the GMs who are running the games.
Take the aforementioned Kingmaker game, for example. Not only have I spent a great deal of time teaching the other players the downtime and kingdom-building rules, I've even gone out of my way to create our group a highly detailed Kingmaker Map (I even hunted down the font the map uses and spent $25 to legally acquire rights to it), city district maps, various coat of arms/heraldry for our in-game factions, and have worked my butt off to keep downtime events organized via online calendar which was set up so we can all access and modify it as needed. What's more, out of the kindness of my heart, I created PDF character sheets for all of the players.
[PC 1] [PC 2] [PC 3] [Kingdom Notes] - All of these documents are readily available to our party, are updated regularly, and don't even represent half of the things I've been bothering to help keep track of without ever having been asked to.
Say what you want to believe about me, but there's something to be said for having a passionate graphic designer in your party.
Perhaps I misspoke in my earlier post. I'm generally lazy when it comes to non-roleplaying endeavors, particularly ones with seemingly fruitless outcomes (like reading through hundreds of recruitment threads in the hopes I will blindly stumble upon one that is remotely what I am looking for).

Hotaru of the Society |

My only real knowledge of him is 'he's one of the like four people who always appear in every edgecase 'is this something I can do with my PC' question I've ever google searched that took me to this board. /shrug. :P
Other than that, I really don't remember whether or not I agreed with him most of the time... generally... I think I have... :)

I am also well known for my Crazy Character Emporium thread, which has been helping to inspire GMs and players alike for a great many years now. To be clear though, I was mostly speaking tongue and cheek when I said I was famous--which is why I opened up with the badass quote from Breaking Bad (spoiler alert).

Hotaru of the Society |

I figured you were. No one believes they're -that- important. :P Either way, I'm not sure there are many pickings for high end games of late, but I don't really look for those, either. :) And I don't look for evil, at that... sooo. :)
Still seem to have left a bad taste in a few folk's mouths though...

Well maybe as famas as AM BARBARAIN or Treantmonk.
Tried to get them too that would have been interesting.
Really? Even I hadn't considered myself THAT famous yet. Thanks for stoking the ego! :D

Fame is fleeting RD. Those two haven't been on the boards in a very long time. It might just be their time is past and yours is just beginning.
From the ashes and all that.
