How would you build a Jedi?

Liberty's Edge

I just wanted to see everyone's take on the best "Jedi" build in pathfinder and also give an example of the build I came up with.

Human
Deity: Shizuru (The Force)
Cleric - Crusader (Weapon Prof Katana)
Monk - Monk of the Seven Winds

Traits:
Two Word Magic (Mage Hand)

Feats:
1. Weapon Focus Katana (Crusader BF)
1. Crusader's Flurry (Can flurry with Katana)
2. Dodge (Monk BF)
3. Panther Style
3. Combat Reflexes (Monk BF)
5. Panther Claw
7. Panther Parry
7. Mobility (Monk BF)
etc

I'd use Dreamscarred Press's Psionics rules, for starters. Since all the Force is is psychic powers, granted by psionically active micro-organisms in a symbiotic relationship, the psi rules are perfect.

@Zhayne Only if you want to recognize the BS that is midichlorians. lol

That is how I'd do it. Psion for Jedi Councilor, Psychic Warrior for Jedi Sentinel, and Gifted Blade Soul Knife(built in lightsaber ftw) for Jedi Guardian.

The dreamscarred stuff works great for a lot of things. Simply fluff to desired flavor and go.

Psionics is still the best option for a Jedi. Psionics is basically magic that you force on the world rather then studying for it or begging outside forces for it. Which makes it perfect for Jedi. Not mention the Telekinetic stuff like is right up Jedi ally along with the energy powers.

Barring psionics I'd probably use a Magus. Just pretend Shocking Grasp is Force Lightning.

If only the swashbuckler got the duelist's ability to deflect arrows with his sword.

I think I'd do something like your build, but have him be a qingong monk instead.

Obviously, I do. It finally makes the force make sense, and strips out all the spiritual pseudo-religious gobbledygook.

You can narrate any miss with a ranged weapon as a deflection.

Well, if Psionics are out, then I'd use a Kensai magus. "Unarmoured magical sword ponce" just about covers it, right? :)

Scarab Sages

Dervish Dancer Bard. The Battle Dances, Bard Spell List, and Flame Blade do a great job of matching the mechanics of the jedi.

Midichlorians don't actually create the Force though. They're just an indicator. It's like white blood cells - wbc form as a response to illness. Similarly, midichlorians form as a response to being Force Sensitive. The sicker you are the more wbc; the more Force Sensitive you are the more midis.

If you use the Reach Spell Feat, it is Force Lightning. And Bladebound Magus is actually really close Jedi.

Actually, sheet lightning is the force lightning used by Palpatine in RotJ.

Has anyone considered using Occult Adventures (psychic magic) to mimic the Force?

If you're using Occult Adventures, you can sort of build a Force user using the Kineticist (Aetheric element).

The only thing you'd have to house rule would be mind tricks and force senses.
