On another topic, the character in its current version would have a dog animal companion. Would it be ok if I reskinned the Horseshoes of speed into some form of "dog-shoes" of speed.
Sure.

Hi there! This is the GM's friend, the one playing Cloud Tosser. I just wanted to drop in and say hi, since I haven't really posted anything here. There's a lot of great ideas getting tossed around.
Howdy! So other than pegasus barbarian who chucks clouds, tell us 'bout your pony!

Well, I got the GM to agree on my alternate special talent being the ability to use clouds as weapons for full damage.
Basically, she was the sort of filly you'd expect to grow up to be a barbarian, a little hellion who put all her childhood curiosity to work on figuring out how to make things break. Her parents were weather ponies, and they did their best to teach Cloud Tosser how to properly manipulate clouds, thinking a useful skill could help her become a functioning member of society, but in the end, she just got more destructive than ever.
Luckily for everyone around her, though, she eventually matured, and while she remains hot headed and destructive, she's learned to channel her outbursts into more constructive pursuits... usually ones far away from anything valuable.
For her cutie mark, I'm thinking it would be something along the lines of a cloud split in half, but I'm not sure of the particulars.

About the lasso, I might just not go for getting an enchanted lasso right now and just buy myself a robe of infinite twine, then I'll have all the rope I need and it doesn't matter whether it breaks or not ^_^
@Rosza Juette de Vieuxpont,
I have not much knowledge of the series, but in looking up other creatures that live in the world, I did figure out that Applejack is good with a lasso & has a border collie. So I am aware of the fact that my concept comes close to one of the main cast of the series :p
But it will be a he and obviously not orange and have nothing to do with apples and everything with growing up on a livestock farm.
@GM, it's not so much that I plan on sniping with the lasso, it's more that I was trying to make it a useable weapon/tactic in a world where there's quite a bit of magic & creatures that can fly. Seeing as my maximum range lies within the 2nd range increment of a longbow I didn't think it would be that bad ;)
The level breakdown for my character is the following :
1 lvl of barbarian (Hurler & Mad Dog archetype)
4 lvl's of fighter (Lore Warden archetype)
taking the Boon Companion feat in order to have an animal companion on the same level as me. This is the level at which he would start the game.
After that it would be 15 lvl's of cavalier (Huntmaster archetype) Order of the Blue Rose, choosing the dog animal companion (which if I'm not mistaken should be able to add to the original companion I have, giving me a full lvl 20 companion in the end)
My general idea for combat is to throw my lasso at the opponent, getting a free trip attempt if I hit. If the trip was succesful I then let my dog attack via spring attack so that at the end of its action it's back beside me. This of course only works if my enemy is within 40 ft of my starting position. Also planning on focusing on non-lethal damage unless we're dealing with real bad baddies! (Especially important once he'd be a cavalier, due to the Order of the Blue Rose's edicts, it fits the best with the idea I had in mind) The extreme range of my weapon would mostly be used for opponents who try to stay far away from me / are running or flying away.
Another important fact is that due to race, feats, stats & classes the pony will also be able to act as a front-liner, seeing as I will have the apple buckin hooves alternate racial ability for in melee and have ok AC + decent HP, that and a dog companion with similar AC & HP.
Still need to work on the name and proper backstory though.

The phrase "more destructive than ever" brings to mind someone else's OC I stumbled across once named "Collateral Damage." :) Sounds fun. Side question: what does she do on clear days?

Another excellent solution!

I wasn't entirely serious. Given how many characters are in the show, almost any concept can be sorta-kinda pegged to some pony, somewhere. As I've admitted, my character has more than a touch of Mane-iac going on, at least in terms of her attack suite.

Oooooh, never seen someone run a Huntmaster before! Intriguing build. This will be interesting. And yes, the lasso makes a ton of sense in a setting where a third of 'normal people' can fly.
Game Master, what're your feelings regarding the character of Trixie? Awesome or awful? Because it's awfully tempting to steal her background for my character... on the other hand, it feels awesomely unoriginal, so...
Trixie doesn't actually have much in the way of official backstory, does she? We know what she does, but not her childhood or why she does it?

The Great and Powerful Game Master... thinks that Trixie is fun. Just make it an original character, not a Trixie knock-off. You can totally be inspired by it in your backstory design though!

Okay, I've got two ideas in mind.
1) She's a travelling repairpony/craftspony, specialising in magical items. I'd likely take some item-creation feats and do some crafting of magic items... what's your feeling on that?
2) Alternatively, she's a travelling cat-burglar! As a cover, she'd still act as a travelling repairspony. I guess I'd make disable device her special talent in that case (she'd have a device-related cutiemark) and I'd get stealth out of her background. Obviously that potentially treads a bit on a rogues hooves though, so I have some doubts in that direction.
Open to thoughts from anyone!

Sounds nifty. I don't think we have any rogues to be tripped over? I might be wrong, some of these archetypes I am unfamiliar with...

I'm the only real rogue-like methinkst, but not in a burglar sense. More of a tomb raider sense. So... yeah. No hoof stepping ;)
This and Peaceful Mending both sound really good.

That's Vancian casting, though interestingly it isn't true Vancian casting at all. The name comes from the author Vance who had wizards that would prepare spells, then they could cast those spells nearly at will, but if they strained the same spell too much it would have a chance of burning out.
Just an interesting tidbit.

GM DarkLightHitomi |

Don't forget though, they redefined the words specifically to refer to the things they think are bad. All those words about magic now only refer to concepts about the summoning and control of evil spirits, and not of other things that we might currently consider magic.
Further they do believe in basically magical effects, but call them miracles instead.

SilvercatMoonpaw |
I might have been misremembering something wrong. I know that I've heard that during the Dark and/or Middle Ages the church taught that witches didn't exist, so the stereotypical idea of Medieval witch burnings is false (that was for heretics). It's only later they support the idea. I was sure I was told they went back to the old "no witches" teaching.

GM DarkLightHitomi |

That is true, though, I suspect their need for followers and control was the bigger deal. In a unified church is the chance for "god-given" rights and control over other people which comes with great wealth, none of which can be gained from a dispersed and personal religion. In this, the truth of the divine matters not.
Interestingly, if I recall correctly, god didn't desire to give men a king, but men demanded one. I wonder just how many were doing the demanding, if it was one of them they asked to be named king.

Concept page for Metal Black here for those that would like to take a peek.
EDIT: Just noted a lack of feat support for Crystal Ponies. Not that I think they really need it, but I thought I'd point it out.

Hey, something I noticed on Fixated Spell (which is really cool, btw):
It says that you are blinded until the start of your next turn. How does that interact with line of sight? Because... this feat might be completely worthless in almost every case :(
EDIT: Problem resolved and seriously one of the coolest metamagics out there :D

You open your eyes at casting time, which is when targets are selected.

Icy Spell is a travelling unicorn sorceress. Roaming from place to place, her home is the cozy wagon she tows behind her. She earns a fine living by adding diverse enchantments to treasured items or important tools, but she’s never really fit in amongst other ponies. Unlike most unicorns who must study the arcane arts, her power flows in her ice-cold blood, magic fogs the air with every whispered word. Her family have always been travellers, have always hailed from the high mountain places and the frozen north.
Perhaps its not strange that strange creatures should seek solace in each other’s hooves, a moment of warmth against the cold. Whether one is pony or ice-elemental-wendigo or dragon as silver as the moon reflecting on snow… race isn’t so important. The drops of their blood in her veins render Icy Spell virtually immune to merely mundane cold, and she finds snowy isolation as comfortable as it is lonely. Oftentimes, she’ll work on a tricky spell, or enchant an item of her own, by the flickering light of her stove or the chill glow of the moon.
For her, pony villages seem as crowded as a city, teeming with life. She loves it - in short doses. Scammed many times before, she learnt wariness, and anger - and when tight-knit communities turned on the outsider with tainted blood, she learned diplomacy and guile. Nevertheless, she’s a happy enough pony, well settled in to the quiet rut of her life...

I like it. :) Is that nine ioun stones you have? You're practically a solar system... haha.
All cracked and broken and ruined... but still useful!
Do you have earwax listed as an item?
My brain derped... it's supposed to be earplugs. Useful if fighting harpies etc...
