Hey everyone. So, I'm about to start a campaign with a new group, and I'm having a really difficult time deciding what class to play. Right now we have a two-handed (no, not two-weapon) rogue, and a ranger archer with his falcon companion. I will be the third and final player, and I have no clue what to play. We need a flanking buddy for the rogue, but we could also use a healer pretty badly. I was thinking about using a Sacred Fist Warpriest, but I'm not entirely sure about it. I have access to all Pathfinder material at my disposal, but I am not allowed to use an Aasimar or Tiefling (which is fine, because I kinda want to use a Half-Elf with the drow features). Any advice is more than welcomed and appreciated!

Oracle (Lunar/Nature), Cleric (Animal/Feather) or Druid. This way you get both flanking buddy for Rogue and a full caster healer. These class can be pretty decent at melee too after you casting a few buff spell on yourself.
Also since you're lacking an Arcane Caster and you want to be Half-Elf, maybe you should look at Ancient Lorekeeper archetype for the Oracle. That archetype will let you grab some Arcane spell as bonus spell.

The new shaman class from the Adv. Class Guide is very nice - 3/4 BAB full caster with some spontaneous elements and hexes. Plus, the ability to switch out spirits is really hand.
Really rather flexible, IMHO.
Here is something I was playing around with for trying to build a factotum: Link (Although it's at 8th level, and one would have to extrapolate backwards - but make knowledge checks and cast fireballs, fight in the front lines in a pinch. What more could you want :) Kind of requires a high point (20-25 build), due to a bit of stat spread)

I think I may end up leaning toward the sacred fist.
Now, my ranger friend may be deciding to switch to a mutliclassed swashbuckler/hooded champion ranger. How should he go about building this fellow? For background, we are using a modified version of the game where all characters get combat expertise, power attack and deadly aim, and improved trip, drity trick, feint, reposition and steal are replaced with one feat, and improved bullrush, drag, sunder and overrun are replaced with another (a player still has to take the greater combat maneuver feats separately.) Point blank shot has also been incorporated into precise shot. [please do not comment on this system being "overpowered," as for my group it is not overpowered in the slightest]
He is looking for help with this character and asked me to post, because he doesn't want to make an account on here simply for one character. As with my character, all advice is welcomed!

I would randomly suggest looking at Magus, the party has a "healer" in the ranger (provided he doesn't trade out spell casting). Just buy wands of CLW for out of combat healing and a few heavy duty potions for in combat healing.
Or maybe look at inquisitor. With teamwork feats like outflank the rogue will have a flanking buddy :P
