Wizard's Prestige Classes

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I was wondering if anyone had tried them and what you thought about them. I am thinking about a couple of them but I am on the fence about it.

Pathfinder savant is alright, but honestly for wizards 99% your just better off going more wizard.

Magaambyan arcanist is freaking sweet. Well worth the price of admission.

I like diabolist. I very much want to make a NE caster with Improved Familiar who goes into diabolist and has both a quasit and an imp running around with him. Max UMD and take craft wand to assure you have a guaranteed way to cast three spells a round at level 7. You'll need a decent charisma to optimally access all of the prestige class's abilities, but aside from that there's no loss of caster level, which is best when dealing with prestige classes and casters.

Bloatmage can actually make some seriously powerful blasters...

Evangelist is good if you're a very religious wizard. You end up with the same progression of spells as a Sorceror, your arcane bond and school abilities progress, you still get spells added to your spellbook every level, you get a d8 HD and 3/4 BAB and more skills added, along with the special abilities from Divine Obedience, which of course you'll want to cherry pick one that fits your character. Nethys, for example, has useful ones, and is a logical deity for a wizard.

If you like killing undead, Soul Warden is a full casting PrC with some neat goodies.

Grand Lodge

One of my old classic characters is my Loremaster in Legends of the Shining Jewel. In Wrath of the Righteous I'm playing a Riftwarden. I enjoy them both.

Magaambyan arcanist Pathfinder savant, are the two I am thinking of taking. I have to be a good guy so it does limit what Prestige Classes I can take. But, the two the like I the most are those two. They seem interesting and you can get spells from other lists.

Does Loremaster work with a Wizard, it seems more like a bard class than a wizard class.

I second the loremaster for a 'know it all' type of wizard. I go bonded object, so it's really trading school powers for loremaster features and increased skill points, which looks good to me.
