When I ran the Danik Grycos version (from the "Man Forever" module in Dungeon 137), I made him a multi-class Monk (martial artist archetype)/Rogue (roof runner archetype). With maxed-out Acrobatics, of course.
This was not long before the ACG came out (the play-test versions were available), but even then I had decided that the Brawler/Investigator multi-class was more Batman than Nightwing, and that Tim (not in the module) was more of a multi-class Monk (martial artist archetype)/Investigator. And I made Gabra Robardon a lame Lore Oracle. :)

Bellona, would you be willing to share your builds?
Can his tonfa sticks be replicated?
This particular build never saw combat, as the party wasn't quick enough to prevent him from becoming "Boy Hostage". (Yeah, that's a role which sucks for Nightwing as an adult, but it was the way the module was written. Since it was an homage, he was transformed into a robin and kept in a birdcage.) So there was no combat-test for this build.
For his tonfas I used the dan bong from Ultimate Equipment (not a perfect match, but okay). The module, IIRC, had him using bolas (maybe meant as bat-arang equivalents?).
Using ARG, I traded in the human bonus feat for the Focused Study alternate racial trait (Skill Focus feats at character levels 1, 8, and 16). That makes sense for a skill monkey build with enough levels.
I didn't exactly do a level-by-level build, as his role was - at best - "guest-starring". After cleaning out some house-rules, it would look like this: Monk 11 (martial artist archetype from UC)/Rogue 2 (roof runner archtype from UC).
Rogue Talent: Ledge walker.
Feats:
L 1. Weapon Finesse
Monk 1. Improved Unarmed Strike
Monk 1. Stunning Fist
Monk 1. Dodge
Human L 1. Skill Focus (Acrobatics)
Monk 2. Improved Grapple
L 3. Mobility
L 5. Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Dan Bong)
Monk 6. Improved Feint
L 7. Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Bolas)
Human L 8. Skill Focus (Stealth)
L 9. Ability Focus (Stunning Fist) (from Bestiary 1)
L 11. Improved Initiative
Monk 10. Spring Attack
L 13. Skill Focus (Bluff)
Later feats would have focused on Trip, Disarm, and maybe Dirty Trick manoeuvres.
His gear included: cold iron amulet of mighty fists +1 (6,000 gp), cold iron dan bong +1 (4,300.2 gp), bracers of armour +4 (16,000 gp), ring of protection +1 (2,000 gp), belt of incredible dexterity +2 (4,000 gp), goggles of night (12,000 gp), rope of climbing (3,000 gp), potion of neutralise poison (CaL 5; 750 gp)
Batman as an Investigator/Brawler was never actually statted up, as he was never intended to see combat. He was mostly a brooding character hanging out in his cliff-top manor. When the party's actions and decisions caused part of the module to go slightly off the rails and the equivalents of Talia al'Ghul, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn sent part of their forces against the manor, the party was asked to defend the manor itself, while he went "downstairs" to defend his lair below the manor. During the battle there was evidence of some explosions, etc. from below, and he returned afterwards looking slightly singed to report that there had been a struggle below too. This was my way to prevent the party from getting a look at the Batcave.
Barbara Gordon/Gabra Robardon was not fully statted out either, as she was just the instigator who got the party to investigate allegations that a particular nobleman in an important mining district had become a vampire. The module just described her as a Herald in the FR, but I added in that she was a retired adventurer (a lame Lore Oracle).
Talia, Ivy, and Quinn were different sorts of hags with class levels, and they were assisted by hagspawn (from FR) versions of Bane, Solomon Grundy, and Killer Croc. (Build-wise, the last three were just clones of each other, as I didn't bother to differentiate them.)

really?
Nightwing is nearly a carbon copy of batman.
DC Comics writers even fess up as much, to the point night wing poses as bats for quite some time and NO one, including well known foes can TELL.
While young grayson is clearly a different character as robin, as he grows up, becomes more skilled, and actually leaves The Dark Knights tutelage basically on irreconcilable differences, the more he is away from wayne, the more he becomes like him.
Even the Character himself admits it, in the comics.
Being as there as 50 threads on how to make batman, we don't really need to debate the nuances of night wing. Same character, minus 25 years of age.

Tonfas are in Ultimate Equipment.
Thank you for sharing this!
You're welcome! :)
Regarding the tonfas, I'm not entirely convinced that Nightwing uses exactly that sort of weapon (I don't recall seeing handles on any of them in those albumns which I do have). There are other, shorter-than-bo/jo-stick weapons in the martial arts world, but right now I cannot remember their names.

Who is debating? If you don't like what we are discussing you do not have to respond. Really not that difficult of a concept.

That is right, I took a look at the tonfa and they were different. What would be a Pathfinder equivalent?
The escrima are definitely bludgeoning light melee weapons by Pathfinder's categories. Upon looking through Ultimate Equipment and googling images, the dan bong would probably be the closest. That would mean a Dick build would probably have Exotic Weapon Proficiency then.

The how to make batman thread has been done twenty times at least.

Again, if the conversation annoys you so much why are you here? Carry on and go your way.

As for ability scores, Dick *drastically* differs from Bruce. Dick's abilities would be Dex first, then Cha. Bruce would definitely be Int first.
I'd say something like:
Dick: Dex-Cha-Int-Str-Wis-Con
Bruce: Int-Dex-Str-Con-Wis-Cha
But then, according to some people, Bruce is all 18s anyway so the order doesn't matter. :b :b :b
Is there a way to change the subject line retroactively because every time I see Grayson spelled as Greyson my soul dies a little.
