Storing the play mats?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

I received the play mats for all of the RotR characters and Ranzak for my birthday. I have the Broken Token's Box Organizer in the PACG Box to hold the cards for RotR and all the class decks.

So my question is how to store the play mats outside the PACG Box. does anyone have an idea?

I keep my Playmats folded in half in the thinner section on the right.

With mats like this, I have always rolled them up. I don't know exactly how your box is laid out, but I do know that folding a mat over and over again will cause it to wear in that spot, and deform a little. When you roll, you can try to alternate the directions to limit deformation and wear.

Being the keeper of the box, I generally have to keep quite a bit of stuff that won't fit in the box and be mobile. I picked up a three-ring binder to keep character sheets, sheet protectors, and wet erase markers in. This would also be ideal to keep the play mats stored flat. You could even go as far to pick up three ring dividers with pockets to go in the binder. Several mats would probably slip into one of those.

What about the big "playing" mat? I folded it up into 1/4 size and put in the S&S box for now but not sure that is a good solution.

Any thoughts on keeping the cards from falling out everywhere if the box gets turned on it's side, etc? (Happened several times already, sigh)

I am not sure how the big play mat is packaged when you buy it, but Ultra Pro offers a play mat tube that you can store the mat rolled up...

I used a piece of 1/2 inch foam cut to size to put over everything before closing the box and it kept the cards in place. Then I got the 11 player mats and file folders with character sheets, etc. and now I don't need the foam.

For RotRL I used the mats to keep the cards in place during transport. These are essentially mouse pads, after all, and don't need to be babied. I'm using one right now as an actual mouse pad.

That's a little bit awesome... now I want one and can't decide on the character!!

Ranzak likes mice. Also, sour pickle juice.
