This burst heals or deals 1d6 points of damage. Every time the hex channeler is able to learn a new hex (including major or grand hexes), she can instead increase her channel energy amount by 1d6.
You have learned the secrets of a new hex.
You gain one additional hex. You must meet all of the prerequisites for this hex.
If you use the odd level feat to get the Extra Hex feat, can you increase the number of die used to channel energy?

I am trying to see if the general consensus agrees, since this seemed a bit too high.
An Aasimar Life Oracle can get up to 15d6 if placing all Favored Class Bonus to the Revelation.
A Hex Channeler Witch, though using Feats, can get up to 19d6 at Level 20. If they take Selective Channeling and Quick Channel, it drops it down to 17d6, still higher than the Oracle.
Of course there are many pros and cons in comparing a Witch healer versus an Oracle healer. But in terms of the sheer number of dice, we might have a new winner.

A witch whose focused on Channeling is a Witch who isn't slumbering enemies or just cackling away all the time. If anything, it seems a little weak.

Yeah, 19d6 damage really stinks. I mean, if they just took quick channel it would only be 36d6 a round, there isn't much you can do with that.../sarcasm off

Like? A Blaster Wizard can put out way more than that. Healing your party is of limited usefulness since at that level you're more likely to go from 100% to Dead because of a saving throw, not damage.
