forum thread text resizing on mobile

Intermittently today on the main messageboards page once the page finishes loading, all the visible thread titles double or triple in text size. The text of everything else on the page remains the same size (left frame, subforum titles, subforum descriptions, etc). Chrome 36 on android.

I'm getting this too, along with some other odd stuff in this version of chrome. It might be a chrome problem and not so much a paizo.com problem.

I'm getting it to on my phone. Thought it was my phone, which tends to be buggy. Chrome 36 for me as well.

Are you seeing the issue only on Chrome? If you view it with another browser on the same phone do you see the same issue?

I only have Chrome on my phone, but to test it, I installed Dolphin. I did not experience the problem with Dolphin.

Also, to give some additional info, it doesn't always happen. Just sometimes. It also looks normal for a few seconds, and then resizes to larger font size. And I tried having Chrome request the site in Desktop mode on the chance it was something about Chrome treating it like a mobile version of the site, and that did not help.

Chrome 36.0.1985.128

Seems to be only doing it on Chrome yes. Firefox and unbranded 'Internet' both didn't have issues.

OK, issue may be Chrome related (i.e. not a lot we can do) but it's on our radar now, thanks!

It isn't the same problem, but I also have issues with my mobile phone. In my case it is Internet Explorer (11? Not obvious to me to how to check on Windows Phone.) for a Windows Phone.

When browsing the message boards on my phone a particular thread titles in the main area vary in size greatly (the thread titles in the recent posts section on the sidebar are not affected.)

It seems pretty random, but it seems to be based on how long the thread title is. The longer the thread title, the larger the font used. From the main messageboard display, it varies in how often it occurs within each subforum.

For example, looking at the Product Discussion Forum, the text for "Paizo Publishing, LLC Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Iron Gods Poster Map Folio" is noticeably smaller than "Paizo Publishing, LLC Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Pathfinder Unchained (OGL) Hardcover".

Both are however bigger than other items in the list like "Paizo Publishing, LLC Pathfinder Cards: Tides of Battle" and "Steve Jackson Games Munchkin Pathfinder-Deluxe Edition" (which are not the same size as each other).

It also seems to be relatively consistent with itself. After typing that out I refreshed the page and while the order changed all the sizes were still exactly how I described.

Looked at it more, the same seems to be happening to the subforum titles as well. "Paizo Licensed Products General Discussion" is pretty massive compared to the smallest text. "Pathfinder Tales" is also a bit larger than I would have expected, but it is is a a lot smaller than most other subforum titles.

Happening to me, too. Using Chrome. It' annoying

Silver Crusade

Also experiencing this behavior (android phone, chrome).

In addition, two other irritating behaviors appeared around the same time and may be related.

(1) When typing in the reply box, the text shown will "freeze", not displaying any changes or the cursor until I flip my phone around to reorient the screen. Obviously maddening. :-)

(2) When I click into a thread I've been following (can't tell if this is only when clicking to the "X new" link or more widespread), after I scroll down a bit it'll jump me back up one to three posts above the one I clicked into. Disorienting and frustrating for sure!

Add all these new problems to the long running scroll problem on the PRD, and the Paizo site is becoming more and more inaccessible from my phone. Which is usually how I check it. :-(

I kind of like the bigger text on threads. It's the important link and you don't have to zoom in on it. The unimportant text looks unimportant.
