My team mates are in my line of sight / is there a way to get ranged op attacks?

Advice

Is there any way to get around line of sight? any feat I've overlooked? same question in regards to ranged ops.

Currently a level 2 rogue, multiclassing into fighter(archer) next level, and keeping levels even. my character is planed out until level 10, at which point i will continue gaining only rogue levels.

Having someone in a square between you and your target doesn't break line of sight. It gives a soft cover bonus, but you can still shoot.

Op attack = attack of opportunity? Snap Shot lets you threaten at 5ft with a ranged weapon, and lets you take attacks of opportunity with it. Zen archer monks also get an ability that allows something similar.

If you're looking for something that will let you send an arrow at a wizard who starts casting 30ft away from you, sorry, no way to do that except with a readied action.

They give cover, but don't block LoS.

So you take a -4 penalty to-hit, that's all (until you get Improved Precise Shot).

Scarab Sages

If you are serious about being ranged, I would recommend Ranger instead of archer fighter. You can get improved precise shot at ranger 6 with the archery combat style. Frankly, you may want to stay pure ranger after this point. Ranged Sneak attacks are incredibly difficult to reliably pull off.

Or he could just go with the Slayer. He would get the option of the same Ranger combat styles and then taking Rogue talents on the other even levels. In addition he would also get some sneak attack damage and a weaker, but at will/any target version of favored enemy.

Also, there is a trait for followers of Erastil that allows you to ignore the +4 soft cover if there is only 1 person in the way of your target. Essentially half of Improved Precise shot available at level 1.

The slayer doesn't get combat styles.

"Ranger Combat Style (Ex): The slayer selects a ranger combat style (such as archery or two-weapon combat) and gains a combat feat from the first feat list of that style style. At 6th level, he may select this talent again and adds the 6th-level ranger combat feats from his chosen style to the list. At 10th level, he may select this talent again and add the 10th-level ranger combat feats from his chosen style to the list."

Ahh, I see why I missed it. It's a talent. I hope they fix that in the final book.

What is there to fix? It is one of the choices of Slayer Talents. Not sure what you are seeing as a problem.

Technically, the target gets a +4 to AC. I suppose it could make a difference in some situations.

And you can't get an AOO if your opponent has any kind of cover... This includes soft cover from people (allies or not) in your way.

I swore I read something about aoo within 15 feet, but i can't find it now.
