I was yesterday. Uninstalling / reinstalling, switching between the x86 and non x86 program files folders, and even a computer reset did not fix it. Same issue with both the tower and laptop. I hope whatever gremlin causing the issue dies before I get back to the house today. Or I will be watching instead of being in the party.
Anyone else getting stuck with the latest client? I can login and select a character normally, but then it just sits at the 'Loading data...' stage. The '...' continues to cycle and the hard drive light is running, but it just sits there indefinitely (i.e. more than 30 minutes).

So just to confirm what version of the client do you have installed? The installer should have ended in _4.0 but you can also confirm you have the correct version by checking the build_num.txt in your install directory.

Yep, the installer has _4.0 at the end, and the build_num.txt file says "Alpha_4".

I might be able to participate after all! Baby hasn't come yet - doctors are doing their best to keep Kit inside mommafox, and doing a good job. All drugs stop next week sometime, so she'll probably pop then. That'll be the 34 week mark, where baby should be OK. Baby would be alright if she came now, but would need some extra help in the NICU.
So, right now, mommafox is just bedresting and Kitsune is going stir-crazy.
