Well the later parts of the ap are more outdoor-y than the first two. I think a druid should come in handy. Not to mention that their versatility generally makes it hard for them not to shine.
That said, having no arcane caster is never a good idea. If there's no other arcane caster in the group (a magus at the very least) I'd play one.
You're already past the worst levels for a caster, so there's really not much stopping you from being awesome, no matter which class.
What does the party look like?

Caster Druid has all of the utility of a wizard but better class features. You both have summoning (but yours can be a swift action if a shaman), you both have instant transport, you both have flight, you both have excellent control, you can both blast. As a bonus, a druid can do all that while in the form of a harmless looking tiny bird.

Long story short, my warpriest was slain in the Magnimar sawmill.
I was thinking about playing a caster druid, since I've not played a Druid yet in 3.5/PF.
Are there opportunities for Druids to shine, or would it be better to go arcane (we also lost our wizard)?
Thanks folks.
Caster Druid would be fine from what I remember about RoftRL. At higher levels you tend to have the space needed for larger Summon Nature's Ally. For sheer utility it's hard to beat all the options Druid brings to the table.
unsolicited advice = Master Summoner with a wand wielding eidelon hasting all those melee guys would be great, too.

Caster Druid is great for RotRL. We had one in our group that played from 1st to 16th level and was very strong throughout.
I think he took the weather domain.
'Supercroc' was his go-to strategy. Summoned a crocodile / dire crocodile, cast Animal Growth when it showed up, and then just kept buffing it until whatever we were fighting was dead.
Watching a colossal dire crocodile do a Death Roll attack on some horrible monster was awesome.
