Good uses of Paragon Surge for a hexcrafter

Advice

So I've got a half-elf hexcrafter magus in PFS who hit 5th level recently, so I can use scrolls of 3rd-level wizard spells that are also on the magus list without a caster level check. I've heard a lot about the crazy things the Paragon Surge spell can do, but I can't seem to find anything especially useful for my build aside from grabbing Extra Hex -> Tongues to speak any language I need. Thoughts?

Paragon Surge is best for spontaneous casters, so as a magus you lose out on some of the better options. That said, have you read the Paragon Surge Guide?

I hadn't seen that before, but now that I've read it, it does like Paragon Surge isn't nearly as good for prepared casters as it is for spontaneous ones. Skill Focus or Extra Arcane Pool might be good feat choices, though. Oh, and what about Blind-Fight? Would that be practical?

A Magus needs access to Improved Spell Recall in order to take advantage of Expanded Arcana or Improved Eldritch Heritage (Arcane), which is what most people tend to abuse Paragon Surge for. Sadly, Hexcrafter only gets regular Spell Recall (and late to boot).

While not as abusable as it is for Oracles and Sorcerers, Paragon Surge is still a great spell to have. It will boost your DC's by one, as well as let you nab a situational feat like skill focus or blind fighting.

It could be good for a Hexcrafter, to get the Extra Hex feat, for the more obscure Hexes that are situationally useful.

If you pick up Heighten Spell as a feat then you can use Paragon Surge for Preferred Spell giving you spontaneous access to any spell on your list that you are capable of casting.

Just pointing this out, TECHNICALLY you don't qualify for the Extra Hex feat, because you don't have the Hex class feature. You need to take Extra Arcana and then choose a hex (thanks to the Hex Arcana feature) instead. :)

Give yourself feats you qualify for but dont have the natural feats.

Blind fight is a good one. If your going to be facing a caster perhaps iron will, great fort, lighting reflex. Need more HP? Toughness. Want lunge? Combat reflexes?

Tons of options. True you dont get as much as others. But you still get a feat choose on the fly. You can also use It to finish a feat chain.
