Raising caster level for a permanency casting

Advice

I want to add some abilities to my level ten wizard with some permanency spells, and wanted to add to my caster level while casting to avoid being dispelled. So, I need a list. Spells, consumable items and permanent items are all good for this cause, as long as it can be used by or on a wizard.

Bonuses from the same source don't stack, even if they are untyped. As multiple ornage ioun stones are still orange ioun stones they are considered the same source and do not stack with themselves.

The Exchange

Death knell something.

Having some friends around can definitely help out:
-Have a spellcaster (of the appropriate gender) cast sharesister. (CL bonus varies by level.)
-A cleric with the arcane subdomain can use her arcane beacon ability to give you +1 caster level.
-If the spell is also on the inquisitor spell list, buy a ring of tactical precision (11 000 GP), hand it to an inquisitor (who knows the spell) to put the Allied Spellcaster feat in it; then stand next to her for a +2 CL.

Does orange stack with resonant orange?

What do you mean?

Wayfinder resonant power: Orange prism: Every time the bearer casts a spell, roll 1d4–2 and add this (and the +1 caster level granted by the normal power of the ioun stone) to his caster level. If this modified caster level is too low to cast the spell, the spell fails and is lost.

The text shows that the normal bonus is already included in the effect: 1d4-2+1 = a bonus of from 0 to 3 to CL.

Buy a scroll of permanency at a higher CL. I just did this for my RoW sorcerer, 20th CL is only 7500gp. I used the scroll for see invisibility, then retrained it off my spells known list. Be aware of mishaps though.

edit: see invisibility needed a 7500gp permanency, some spells have different gp costs.

I don't think the scroll thing works. the text is:

Someone said wrote:
This application of permanency can be dispelled only by a caster of higher level than you were when you cast the spell.

You were, not the caster level for the spell.

Feats aren't relevant for me, but keep them coming in case they help anyone else.
I didn't know about many of the divine caster options, so that's been helpful.
Do you think you could use karma beads with use magic device?

The resonant power generated by putting the ioun stone in a wayfinder is an additional power to the basic orange ioun stone. However, you could not put multiple orange ioun stones into a wayfinder and benefit from multiples of the resonant bonus.

Repeat after me, bead of karma op. As a Wizard you'll need UMD to use it (which you have) and BAM instant +4 caster levels. You can also use Flawed Orange Prism Ioun Stone with a regular Orange Ioun Stone for another +1 CL (though you take a -2 on your casting stat, but that won't matter for this).

Quote:
Each special bead can be used once per day, except for the bead of summons, which works only once and then becomes nonmagical. The beads of blessing, smiting, and wind walking function as spell trigger items; the beads of karma and summons can be activated by any character capable of casting divine spells. The owner need not hold or wear the strand of prayer beads in any specific location, as long as he carries it somewhere on his person.

The character would need to be able to cast divine spells in order to use the bead of karma. If the wizard also had levels in cleric he would qualify to activate the bead. Though arguably, the bead should probably only be capable of applying to divine spell casting, it is not however specified. Only the ability to cast divine spells is required.

zedit: Just say you mentioned UMD, nevermind that would technically work.

As a GM, I would tell you that it only applies to divine spellcasting, but it is a clear condition of the item so you may be able to use it as desired.

Oh well I haven't seen a Paizo ruling, but apparently a 3.5 FAQ said two Ioun Stones of the same type don't stack. Debatably, different Ioun stones (Orange, Flawed Orange, and Sepia Elipsoid) could stack despite having a similar source and effect, but they would be prohibitively expensive anyway, I think the scroll idea probably wins out on Ioun stones, stack or otherwise, they are overpriced.
