Twinned Channeling and Selective Channeling

This is about the Envoy of Balance ability Twinned Channeling.

It says "...If she has an ability that allows her to exclude targets from her channeled energy, such as the Selective Channelling feat, she can choose to exclude different targets from the healing effect than from the harming effect..."

When using this with Selective Channeling, do you exclude a number of creatures up to your charisma modifier from the positive channeling, as well as a number of creatures up to your charisma modifier from the negative channeling? Or do you instead remove from either effect a number of creatures total up to your charisma modifier?

For example, say I have a charisma modifier of +3. I am twinned channeling with 3 allies and 3 enemies around me. Twinned Channeling lets me exclude myself from the negative energy should I choose to, regardless of having Selective Channeling. Can I use Selective Channeling, in this scenario, to heal myself and my allies and harm my enemies (selecting 3 allies out of the negative energy, and 3 enemies out of the positive energy)? Or do I instead have to choose 3 creatures total to exempt (say perhaps only harming my enemies, or only healing my allies) but allow the other 3 creatures present to be hit by both the positive and negative channels?

You can select 3 creatures for each type - so 3 enemies and 3 allies.

Is there a paizo ruling on this? As read it seems you would only get 3 total.

So the questions is- when you twin channel do you get to exclude your charisma modifier once or twice? Are you considered just channeling energy once with two waves of energy? Or are you releasing channeled energy twice with one daily use and get to selective channel twice?

Twinned Channeling: When channeling energy, the envoy of balance can simultaneously release waves of positive and negative energy. She chooses a category of creatures (either living or undead), and this conjoined energy both heals and harms the affected creatures. Roll the amounts of damage healed and dealt separately. Treat the envoy of balance's effective cleric level as 2 lower than normal for the amounts of damage and the DC to halve damage taken. The envoy of balance can choose whether to include herself in either or both the healing and harming effects. If she has an ability that allows her to exclude targets from her channeled energy, such as the Selective Channelling feat, she can choose to exclude different targets from the healing effect than from the harming effect. An envoy of balance must possess the spiritual equilibrium endowment to choose this endowment.

Selective Channel
Benefit: When you channel energy, you can choose a number of targets in the area up to your Charisma modifier. These targets are not affected by your channeled energy.

Does anyone else have an opinion on this? I have a player in my home game wanting to play an envoy of balance but I am reading it as
twieb is; you only get one pool for deselecting, not one for Positive and one for Negative. RAW? RAI? Opinion?

I could go either way on this, but lean in favor of 2 pools of deselection options. Even if you did get to deselect up to your primary Channeling modifier (usually Charisma) worth of creatures for each type of Channeling energy, it wouldn't be totally broken, because you wouldn't be able to sacrifice on the Negative Energy side to deselect more on the Positive Energy side, or vice versa, so neither side could get more than your primary Channeling modifier worth of deselection.

I'm of the mind that you apply the feat to each 'burst'. CHA 16 = up to 3 excluded from healing, up to 3 from harming. Otherwise, you are healing/harming the same creatures for an average net result of nothing. I don't like interpreting slightly vague text as being nearly useless.

tl:dr: Apply selective channeling separately to each burst.
