Going to be a tielfing _________ in my next campaign

Advice

So, starting a new campaign thursday, and i have a little bit of a conundrum. For story reasons the character is a unnanturaly light tiefling, prehensile tail, does cold damage when grappled (highly customized tiefling thanks to the chart on varient tieflings). The provlem is I dont know what class to be.

The part is a human spell slinger, human monk, human fighter (based around dirty trick and improvised weapons), an oracle whos race i dont know. So we have a decent mix of mundane and magic. I was wanting to go Two Weapon fighter. When i read the New gods pdf that came out, i decided i want to try my hand at being an Evangelist of Serenae. Though i dont know if i am keen on going the full fighter route either.

I know multiclassing is frowned upon, because it doesnt work in most cases. I was tempted to dip into something with a little magic.....dont know what to do

Bard's a solid fifth man and doesn't lose out too much from the one level delay on class abilities of Evangelist.

Default Tiefling loses out on Charisma, but some of the variants don't, and it's a fun class anyway.

You're very welcome. Happy to be of assistance.

If you need more detailed help, please don't hesitate to ask, I'm pretty good with Bard builds in general.

Inquisitor works well too.

You can even be a great face, and dump charisma.

This is true. I prefer Bard slightly for the party-buffing, though.

Monk and warpriest are amazing with evangelist. Because of the nature of how they get attacks they only really loose one effective bab.

Also multiclassing is not really that bad, some people on these boards think it's the end of the world. But particularly for evangelist, you loose hardly anything (unless a full bab class) and most classes gain a lot. I'd totally go war priest myself, though monks are pretty decent twfers cause flurry...though their almost always better flurrying with a single weapon.

If the Advanced Class Guide playtest is any clue, I'd say multiclassing is going out of favor (more-so that it already had). With that in mind, a tiefling skald might be a fun build. With 2 other melee characters in the party (the monk and the fighter) Raging Song will be especially useful.

Was going to say warpriest myself. Bard is solid too. Magus could fit alright I think as well.

Thanks for the advice everyone, now i have too many choices lol.
