Month 1 access to Early Enrollment already in June 2014?

As per this new Store-page on the GW website, it sais so on the Alpha listing and mentions the 2nd month of EE on the Pioneer listing as July 2014.

It also sais May 2014 for start of Alpha which is not really unexpected. But it does make for a rather short Alpha.

Is this a mistake, or does GW feel that this baby is ready for a larger crowd already?

I did think myself that the alpha crowd looked to be a bit small to do serious testing, so they would have to start looking for more people sooner rather then later. Maybe this is why?

It's important to remember how Early Enrollment works. Early Enrollment is going to be a very sparse, very feature-constrained environment when it begins. The purpose of Early Enrollment is to Crowdforge the game from that beginning.

The purpose of Alpha testing isn't to Crowdforge the game. It's to make sure the game is ready to begin Early Enrollment. So Alpha will do load testing and testing of things like the process to set up an account, download and patch the client, log in to the server, and report crashes and bugs.

Alpha is just to make sure it won't break your computer or theirs. Question for RD. How much down time are we to expect for updates during EE? Several hours a week?

We really have no way to tell at this junction. The server will be up as much as possible. How much is an known unknown.

Very exiting. I realize it will be a very barebone experience, but I am thrilled to help and see it grow from almost day 1. Now I may have to take my laptop with me on vacation after all, in August. I was planning to leave it home this time..... the misses will not be happy.

I wanted to add that the new page for the store looks great, clear and very enticing.

Still, glad to know it's not going to be the case where the servers are consistently only up for a short period of time over the weekend.

I'm just waiting for my EE e-mail. :)

It will be ready when it is ready and no sooner.

So true, though you cannot argue that anticipation is building with every dev-blog opportunity now. Will the next one be the one to announce Alpha? The one after it? It is drawing so near.

Take your time dudes/dudettes. Make it and make it good. I will distract myself with the US ArcheAge Alpha and the Korean Black Desert Beta all the while.

The current Map Blog gave me lot to work with also. So that is cool. It's done when it's done is a good ETA.

Awesome, i am really glad that you guys are testing these things now rather than going the route of other games that rush to get done and are unplayable for the first two weeks or more after launch

I just realized I have several crash reports in my PFO file. Where should I report those. There are five separate folders with crash data.

Per Ryan, they'll go to Robert Hodgson, in QA:

That link is to the closed alpha forums. We probably shouldn't be openly publishing the email addresses here.
