Advice for a level 1 Cleric gestalt character in a low magic setting

Advice

In this setting, the only magic users are clerics. Wizards, sorcerers, and such are extremely rare and powerful.

My character is a cleric of a homebrewed Lawful Evil god of death, but I've never really played a cleric before so I could use some advice.

One thing to mention, clerics in this world have no "direct damage" spells. I realize they don't have a ton of those anyway, but spells such as Searing Light don't exist. Same goes for raising undead minions, that's a power held only by one necromancer in existence.

I was thinking of focusing mainly on the Cleric side of the character, but maybe using my god's favored weapon (quarterstaff) effectively in combat, as it fits in the campaign setting pretty well.
There's just so many options with how to do that with gestalt that I can't seem to decide.

MAD won't be an issue, I rolled really well on my stats. My character is Human but any core races are available, so I'm fine with switching. Any Paizo material is fair game.

A monk might work well and fit well with you god’s weapon. The quarterstaff is a monk weapon so you can use it to flurry. Monks being a Wisdom based character also work well with a cleric. You mentioned your stats are good so you can ignore not concerned with MAD. This is normally the monk’s weakness.

magus, staff wielder archetype!

Ranger.

Ranger gives you a good reflex safe, which you are lacking as a cleric, Full Bab, and good skills. I am not sure if the GM will allow rangers to cast or not but if so add limited spell casting to yoru full spell casting.

I don't understand something. If you get no damage spells, do you lose spontaneous casting of Inflict Wounds spells? Can you channel negative energy to hurt living creatures? Without any damage spells or Animate Dead I would strongly consider a Warpriest, an Inquisitor, an Antipaladin (need permission to not be CE or change deities), or a Ranger over evil Cleric.
Cleric and low-magic don't really go together.

Oh, and if you want advice on a gestalt build you can do a lot worse than Inquisitor/Ranger all the way. You favor all saves, full BAB, d10 hit die, 6 skill points per level with good class skills, 4th level and 6th level spells on the same casting stat from the same deity, and can use Favored Enemy and Judgement at the same time.

inquisitor/gunslinger. only way to go. lol
