As mentioned on the comments page neither the herolab files nor the physical Player's Guide are on the 'shopping list' on the backerkit. Monstrosities is listed as Pathfinder too, and no option for S&W ToHC. The last one maybe because it is sold out or Bill was referring to TOH4 in his covering email?
Backerkit is cool though cos you can go back and change your order at anytime up until the lock down date.

Getting Dunes with the backerkit is a HUGE bonus for the overseas customers. Because we frontloaded the shipping to cover Barakus, the weight of adding Dunes doesnt really change the shipping unless several books are added. So this is a phenomenal opportunity to take advantage of lower-cost shipping now for stuff you'll want to have.
And that darn Dunes book sure looks like it would tie in with a certain AP out now..... 8-0

And signed copies are easy to get. All you have to do is flag me down at a con. I'll be at Dexcon in New Jersey in early July and GenCon in August. Still debating an appearance at NTRPG in early June.

Okay, this is the first time I've used "backerkit," so this may be a stupid question. I pledged for the $40 book, but upped my pledge to add the maps, so right now I'm up to the $61 I pledged. I kind of promised my wife that I would not go overboard on this KS, so I feel obligated to keep to the $61.
However, I really want Dunes, and it's at a price point that is about my monthly average on spending for games. So, my question is whether I've already been charged the $61 for my pledge amount, and would adding Dunes just show up as a second charge later? I can wait until June to up my amount if that's the case, and I won't get the stink eye for having a $90-$100 charge versus two different (more reasonable) charges. I know, I know, navigating a marriage with a non-gamer involves lots of land mine-avoidance techniques! :)

My understanding is that the backer kit add-ons do not charge till the whole thing is locked down - June 5th or 6th (I think that was the date), so you have few weeks after adding it on before it gets billed.
That is also good because it gives some people time to save up to add more on besides their base KS.

The add-ons are not charged until the backer kit is locked, because you can change your add-ons up until the lockdown. So the charge would not hit until June.
And no, you have to have at least a book in hand to use your binoculars. You're either all in or all out.
Does it matter what book it is?

Personally I think a telescope is even better.

So, we have an estimated ship date for the hard copy books of late August/September according to the kickstarter. If I purchased a hard copy of Tsar in my backer kit, I understand for shipping it would go out with my copy of LCoB, but if I wanted the PDF for Tsar sooner, say shortly after the backerkit lockdown date, is that possible?
Along those lines, would FGG allow us to DL our PDF copy of LCoB before late August if it were ready? Just curious, I am anxious to start plot...errr...reading.

The Lost City of Barakus first-round roughs have gone out for editing (we do two rounds, the first for standard mistakes after layout and the second is a round of looking for "How in the hell did we MISS this?!?!?" details). Then we'll have the book off to the printer to go through their checks and balances before the end of May.

Well, I'll finally drop off the daily, auto-generated "you haven't finished your backerkit" emails. I just confirmed this morning. I have Barakus coming to me, a player's guide, and some maps. Also the hardcover of RA for Pathfinder.
As I understand it the PDFs I ordered will hit as soon as the backerkit closes and then the hardcovers will be shipping in August, is that correct? Also can I add to my backerkit even though I closed it today or are those discounts closed to me now?

Ok--get this. Skeeter and Chuck do not sleep--we sent the main book off to the printer TODAY--2 months ahead of schedule.
Before everyone gets excited--the player's guide should hit my desk this week for edits, and the maps are still in process. That being said, we are WAY ahead on delivery schedule.
Big shout out to editing, conversion and most of all layout at FGG.

You guys want to give me a heart attack? Just about all of my non-FGG kickstarters are at least 5 months behind due date with no end date in sight. Soon I am going to limit my KS activity to FGG and DF!

Yeah, it's pretty sad how so many FRPG kickstarters are way, way behind. Some of mine are over a year late (but even that's not as bad as some others).

The only non FGG Kickstarter I backed that is WAAAAYYY behind schedule is Call of Cthulhu 7th, but they've been good about updates and it looks like it will be here sooner rather than later at this point. I think the enormity of what that project's stretch goals created got away from them.
I backed Monte Cook's Numenera and that was right on time, and it looks like The Strange also is right on schedule.
FGG is the best, though!! (End shameless brown-nosing)

Yeah, that one was due last October - but they have been very good about regular updates so no worries on that one.
FGG has pretty good communication and turnaround on their KS projects - this one probably moved faster because it was an update of an existing product vs. a brand new adventure (SoA) or complete re-imagining. FGG as a whole does a good job on their KS projects and I look forward to backing more in the future.
TBH - at this poing FGG is my primary source of gaming material and they cannot set up these projects fast enough.

btw--an update on SOA as well--I am almost on track for September--but not sure we are going to get all the art in time--so it could be a little late.
I only have 3 more chapters to finish--and all are small. But the art is a little behind. I anticipate it will be close to schedule--but potentially a month or two off. SOA is printing in China--so we have customs etc. to worry about too.

OK, just so everyone is clear, and not swept up in Bill's exuberance (yeah, I know, its infectious, Ive fallen to it before too), the main book is at the printer.
We still have several add-ons that were promised that need to be completed (Player's Book, maps, HeroLab files, plus an extra goody I'm keeping under my hat), so even though we are legit WAY ahead of schedule, I don't want to promise any advance shipping or anything like that. there is still a ton that can go wrong, but we know, for a fact, the main book will ship on time.
We try not to make any false promises, unlike some other Kickstarter companies. We appreciate our fans, and treat them like friends, out of respect.

PS Yeah, whats sleep? That's for the weak.
