I like the Adventure Card Game, but I hate that often I don't have a clue who the people I encounter are! I'd pay extra for a PDF only book that would give me an intro to the scenario and adventure.

I'm not asking for a $5 book either. I'd pay $30 for a nice book that explained who was in the town/dungeon etc, why we went where, and what happened after. I want a little bit more narrative then whats on the cards. I don't plan to play the adventure path, but this way I will feel like I did.

I'd love to see this too. I'd be willing to pay more like $5 or maybe $10 myself, but $30 would be a bit much. For $42 you can get the PDF of the RotR Adventure Path Anniversary Edition.

Of course, nothing like that exists for the other adventure paths.

Well, there are the adventure path modules for 14$ each so that comes out to 84$ extra. It's a bit much for me just to follow the full story, but the option exists

One option would be to collect the Pathfinder Comic as it includes some of the background information you were asking about as well as some of the same story the game is based on. You can get them as PDF's as well as in print.

Though the comic features some of the characters and locations, it does not tell the story of Rise of the Runelords.

The Pathfinder Legends audio adventures from Big Finish, though, do tell the Rise of the Runelords story....

I've been waiting for this. When did it come out?

Volume 1 releases 3/26.

This is precisely why I bought:

Rise of the Runelords Anniversary Edition

It has the entire story, with a wealth of detail and background info.

It's a shame, the OGL Rise of the Runelord PDFs were on sale for GM's day a week ago.
