For anyone interested, I'm doing a readthrough and review of the 4e PHB, chapter by chapter, on my blog. I'll be honest, I don't like the game overall, but there's plenty of info in there about the game if you don't have it.

Chapters 1-3: How to Play, Making Characters, and Races

Ernest. Just my thanks on this one. This is one complete overview. Not devoid of subjectivity, but what critic isn't? That's an excellent piece.

Please do the same for the MM and DMG, if you feel like it.
