[Green Ronin] Short Updated PDFs?

Product Discussion

Scarab Sages Contributor

Hey folks, this is me with my Green Ronin Developer hat on. I'm considering taking sections of 3.0/3.5 era GR products and updating them to Pathfinder, specifically to release as pdfs. I want to work on updating the back stock in magazine-article-sized slices, and see how they are received, and not undertake a huge process to do it.
So... what independent bit of ogl stuff from GR's backlist, that takes up no more than 8-16 pages, would folks most like to see updated?

The sovreign materials from the AGG. They almost scream "use me in a Mythic game!" now.

That's a really interesting idea, thanks!

Fiends. :D

Angels!

Well, what I would really like is a complete update to The Book of the Righteous, but that is way to big for this project. Perhaps an update to The Holy Warriors Handbook would be do able?

The Eldritch Weaver class

The Noble class (although that could be in the Freeport book anyway); a second product for the "Noble Houses" as Factions or Rooms/ Teams/ Organizations/ Buildings in the vein of Ultimate Campaign would be nice.

The Avatar's Handbook had a number of interesting creatures, including Bardess' Angels, that could stand an update.

While Pathfinder has its Witch, I think the Shaman class from the Shaman's Handbook would appeal to some people more than the forthcoming Shaman in Paizo's Advanced Class Guide.

The psychic stuff. I think it really scratched the itch of the pre-3.x psionics, since any race/class could have a bit of extra power.

Liberty's Edge

I loved the psychic stuff as well, but I'm not sure it could be updated in 8 - 16 pages.

Yeah, there are LOTS of things I want to update, AND I want to begin building on new content as well. But I can't do everything all at once, so I'm hoping to get some stuff done in small slices to get the ball rolling.
All opinions are noted, of course, but things like whole books are going to have to wait a bit yet. :)

Fair. My first thought was that they were presented in an appendix in the Advanced Player's Manual, but then I checked that appendix and it turns out to be a bunch bigger than that.

Grand Lodge

The Shaman's Handbook

It's a shame you are only looking at going over the smaller stuff. I would love for a Pathfinder version of True Sorcery

Bigger things are sure to come. :)

THIS. Most of the book is fluff vs. crunch. So while it's not an insignificant undertaking, a PF update of the crunch in this book is what I'd like to see.

2. Fang & Fury

3. Unholy Warrior's Handbook.

4. Also, the Advanced GM Guide, chapters 2, 7, & 8 specifically.

Small mechanical bits to update to pathfinder?

Pathfinder style god charts for Book of the Righteous gods and Book of Fiends fiend lords could be done in small page counts. There are gods from other products too such as the drow one.

The fiend bound caster from Book of Fiends (I've forgotten the name, thaumaturgist?) was a really weak class in 3.5, a watered down fiendish cleric. Bumping him up to a full pathfinder power level class or making an easily implemented NPC class would be worthwile and not so many pages.

The web enhancement for demonic and devilish instead of the standard fiendish templates were great and could be updated in just a few pages.

I was just looking over my copy of Trojan War last night. While the product itself is far in excess of your target size, its crunchy bits would fit just right.

I don't suppose "Hell in Freeport" is on the list?

My favourite GR 3.x stuff and therefore some of my favourite 3.x stuff ever, were the Avatar class, which I count to be about 15 pages including the spells, and the Qedeshot from Testament. Would love to see updates to either.
