When is +2 gained, from a +1 per every 3 levels ability?

Rules Questions

I just wanted to make sure I am interpreting the above correctly. In this specific case I am referencing the Inquisitor Judgements, which have some bonuses that increase "+1 for every three inquisitor levels".

I interpret this to be: +2 is gained at level 6. Is this correct?

Correct. Unless instructed otherwise, you always round down.

if it starts at +1 at level 1 and gets +1 for every three levels then at level 3 you have a +2

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

As kikidmonkey pointed out, if it starts with an amount, then the rest is added to it. Example:

PRD wrote:
Destruction: The inquisitor is filled with divine wrath, gaining a +1 sacred bonus on all weapon damage rolls. This bonus increases by +1 for every three inquisitor levels she possesses.

This would give a bonus of +3 at 6th through 8th level.
