DM has ruled that the feat, "Gang Up," works for ranged attacks... help me optimize a level 8 human rogue (no items)

I think dump stats are hokey and lame.

Congratulations, due to the GM's rule you only have a short must-have feat chain. After getting Gang Up at level 3, you can basically spend feats on whatever you like at the time, without worrying about prerequisites.

Basically I added Arcane Strike. You qualify with the Minor magic talent. make sure you make your bow seeking asap or you will be screwed by concealment.

Shield's lovely for this sort of thing. +4 AC is very shiny. Vanish is also very worthwhile.

How does minor/magic magic give the rogue caster levels? Can you show me where that ruling would be?

It does. Any creature with an SLA is considered to have caster lvl. In the case of Rogue his caster lvl is equal to his rogue lvls.

Vanish is probably the best alternative.
