There is the Atonement spell.
The "Redemption or Temptation" option is a quicker path.

I would like to know the circumstances surrounding the change of heart and how guilty he feels. We are running a campaign right now where a summoner started out as NE and had a horrifying experience watching his actions result in the death of a child and others' heroism to save her and he "hit rock bottom" and became a LG almost pacifist (even becoming vegetarian). There are no rules that a character has to gradually shift or that what you shift to has to be within a step of your previous alignment.

This is actually for an NPC in our Shattered Star AP.
I wanted an NPC that could fill in the spellcasting gap the party has when needed....or help re-direct the players when they get too off track....but could then disappear until I needed him again. Not so much a member of the party, as someone who is watching from the shadows...and giving a little aid, often without the characters even knowing.
The NPC is a Pridespawn/wizard/veiled illusionist...
He survived earthfall, and the centuries that followed, and became guilt ridden (and a little mad) after the fall of Thassilon...even going so far as to now refer to himself as a "guiltspawn".
I have altered his sinspawn special abilities to function off of guilt rather than pride.
