PaizoCon 2014 Early Arrivals

For those of you playing Risen from the Sands on Thursday, be aware that it's awfully long. I played it on FreeRPG Day and it was a bear.

I was hoping to be able to squeeze in playing (or possibly GMing) either 5-7 Port Godless or 5-5 The Elven Entanglement on Wednesday or early on Thursday, if possible. I haven't been able to play either thus far and it looks like I might be playing in 5-24 with some VCs on Thursday. Those 2 scenarios could be helpful if they're played prior to 5-24, I hear.

As TOZ said, they do tend to run long. They're also season 5's, which the earlier posts stated that they wanted to stay away from due to conflicts with scheduled Con games.

Hey Everyone,
Sorry I have not checked in for a bit, but I have been busy wrapping up things at my work before leaving for the con.

I have prepped several other scenarios as well in case we get more interest or people want to play something other than We Be Goblins.

Just about ready to pack up the car and head to the airport. Should touch down in seattle about 10:00 am.

I don't think we'll be interfering too much with the Con (most should have their schedules set at this point), so I've added a theoretical session of Port Godless to Wednesday night, and Elven Entanglement to Thursday afternoon.

I doubt Rusty has those prepared though.

How long is long? I'm currently signed up for the Thursday 7-Midnight Risen from the Sands game, but I'm also signed up for an 8AM Friday PFS game. I don't want to sacrifice too much sleep....

I counted a potential 14 combats in Risen from the Sands if you explored everywhere and did everything. My GM called it after we did about 1/2 and hit the key areas.

The weather's been nice the last few days. I vote we meet up at one of the poolside tables. Heck, we can even laminate the character sheets and play in the hot tub.

Kat and I will be up there really early Friday (close to 6-7 AM). Going to be bringing a slew of board games like usual. Laptop too in case of Pathfinder attacks, although I generally go for the board games for a taste of something different. :) Can't wait to see a lot of you!

I haven't prepped PFS in a while. I was gonna prep Crypt of the Everflame and the Emerald Spire Superdungeon digitally (bringing a monitor to display the maps and such on). What are the most popular PFS scenarios these days?

Made it in about 3pm, had lunch at Denny's then spent some time in the pool. I would love to hang out with fellow players, alas, I had to return to my room to rest. Got extreme dizzy spells while in the pool and then trouble with my right side, mainly my right leg. I am so very thankful I have my wheelchair now instead of the walker.

Still up in the air.... I made a thread here. One favorite option for me would to settle in at AFK Elixirs and Eatery, if they don't mind us hanging out there for five hours (I've heard they don't, but I don't want to push it). The other favorite option would be to get one of the smaller boardrooms in the hotel and use that, much as we did with the Thursday night games. I will look into both. But, we'll figure out something.

For now, the default plan will be to meet in the lobby and play it by ear. I will be in a purple PFS Volunteer shirt and have my nametag on. I look sort of like the guy in the picture on this page (since I am that guy).

For 3-25, we'll meet in the lobby as well. Just shout for Keith or Paile around 2, and the person who looks at you like you aren't crazy will probably be me.
