Gunslinger / Synthesist???

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I'm currently GMing a play-by-post game wherein one of my players is playing a summoner (synthesist)/gunslinger. He is trying to claim that he can both carry a whole bunch of rifles and operate all of them in a turn in combat with his eidolon's extra arms. This is driving me nuts, because I am pretty sure this is an build that can't work. Can anybody tell me who's right? Pretty sure he shouldn't be able to fire all those rifles and reload that often. He's kind of like a one-man Gatling gun.

You only get the amount of attacks per round that your AB provides. Now, if he has multiweapon fighting then yeah...

He also gets to make builds that you will allow. Seriously, this person makes a multiclass of the most hotly debated class/archetypes in the game? Even proponents of each will have to admit that this is too much. How could you ever possibly balance this with the rest of the party?

Unfortunately, the damage is kind of done. With multiweapon fighting, he could pull this off. As long as he can reload as a free action, then his build is legal (although, remember, that as GM, you are the final arbitrator on whether you can allow these things)

Could you post his actual build? Then we can assess it.

Liberty's Edge

This sounds like pure cheese and in my game would never be allowed, of course I don't allow synthesists or zen archers because I feel they break the game. If the above listed requirements are met, this build could be technically, rules as written legal. However, you have the right to disallow this character.

I thought this was going to be a discussion of fun synthesist/gunslinger builds.
