What should PCs encounter along the way if they journey to the Boneyard to petition Pharasma for something?Axis deserves it's own book, eventually, as a planar metropolis along the lines of the City of Brass or Dis, but expanded beyond all of the above in the sense that it's not really just a big city on some other plane, but more like a plane unto itself that is just one big honkin' city.
More like the Plane of Gears, in the Midgard setting, it's not just a big city, it's a world/setting unto itself, that is covered with streets and buildings.
Even if it's not feasible to do a book on each of the planes, I think it would awesome at some point in the future to see a hardcover book on planar adventures. Advice on ways to handle the planes in a campaign, dealing with various outsiders beyond combat, etc.
In that sort of book you could present multiple examples of locations to set as the focus of such a campaign: Axis, the City of Brass, Galisemni, and Shadow Absalom being the locations that first come to mind for me.
Such a book is up at the top of my list of 'Paizo Dream Products'. :)
Same here my friend! And you would be among my top people to contact about such a project!
Gushing aside, there is a steady stream of new and interesting outsiders created every year (along with aquatic creatures) but there's limited support on how to draw that together as a campaign. For any one from Paizo reading, that is not complaint. I realize that priorities have to be set. Rather, I see that as design space that is can be built upon in the future.
A lot of has been invested in Golarion and that setting is nowhere near exhausted but planar adventures is good platform for expansion.
(So is psychic magic, but I don't want to derail)

Criminals of the Inner Sea: An examination of thieves guilds throughout the Avistan and Golarion, covering methodology and psychology of groups like the Sczarni, the Outlaw Council of the River Kingdoms, Westcrown's Council of Thieves, and Korvosa's Cerulean Society. It'd be a great way to give your rogues more flavor.
Yes, yes, yes. But PLEASE not until I have a chance to earn myself a spot on the contributor list for this book. All of my best organization ideas are illegal groups in some manner or another.

Ancient Thassilon Gazetteer
I know there's already been a bunch of stuff about Thassilon. But I'm looking for something more like Mike McArtor's treatment of Korvosa in its respective guide; namely, something that's more "fluff". I'd like to see more info about things like culture, social structure, trade, etc. Something with lots of flavorful, thought-provoking artwork and, above all, a map of pre-Earthfall Thassilon. And hey, I'm sure we could find a bored linguistics student somewhere who'd have a heyday with actually setting forth a Thassilonian language primer (yeah, I can dream). Essentially, I'd like to see a source that can lend some rich and interesting flavor to any campaign set in Varisia in which the subject of local archaeology might come up. What kind of artifacts would be found, aside from wands, rune carvings, and enormous statues? What would a deserted Thassilonian city look like, if you dug it up out of 10,000 years-worth of dirt and ash?
I'm a bit of a nerd for the humanities, I'll admit. But everyone knows all of the movers and shakers--i.e., the Runelords. I want to know more about the inner workings of the society, the common folk, the day-to-day stuff. A collection of short stories would be even more fun, as long as I'm dreaming (case studies!). But since I'm not greedy, I'll settle for a Gazetteer. :-)

Taldor has been deserving of development and revitalization for quite awhile now. Josh Frost seems to have put most of his effort into writing the town of Cassomir rather than the Empire of Taldor, leaving us swashbuckling/intrigue fans a desert of useful canon.
We don't even know the name of Stavian III's wife.

I would like to see them take one of the most boring-looking countries in the ISWG and transform it into something really interesting. There's lots of candidates for this like Druma, Molthune, Isger, Nirmathas, Lastwall, Rahadoum, Thuvia.
And something like the Wildlands of Golarion which covers 6 or so major and interesting wilderness areas in detail, such as one of the major forests, an important mountain range, a primordial jungle, an aquatic area, and so on.
Perhaps also a book about travel covering the major land, river and sea routes between nations, their hazards, groups that travel and guard and plague the route (merchants, pirates, bandits, rangers) and sites of interest (ports of call, inns and waystops, border forts). I think something like that would help make the setting feel more unified showing traffic flowing all across the continent and ideas for pcs wanting to journey from one land to the next.

After reading some comments I would like to change some of my choices.
1) Dwarven Holds of Golarion -or- Mines of Golarion
2) Criminals of Golarion. From streetgangs to crimelords. The purse of PC will never be secure!
3) Area/Terrain/Climate specific Bestiary. There could be more real animals with mythical abilities. For example, I have heard that scream of rooster affect ghosts like wail of banshee on living things. After all, many animals have to survive in areas populated by orcs, trolls, goblins and all others.
4) Fashion of Golarion. Who are the trendsetters? Kings, their lovers, famous bards or courtisans? What places are trendy and copied by others. Tips how the PC avoid looking like last century. Prestidication or real clothes?

I desperately want Garund and Casmaron gazetteers, because I want more info than would fit in a ~64 page campaign setting book. And while more class crunch would be fine, I'm much more interested in the flavor of the regions' peoples, cultures, and nations. While Flavor still may not sell as well as Crunch, that's what I want.
Edit: And I would seriously try to shiv a balor for a couple doughnuts right now.

I am more interested in Tian Xia (come on...it's a large continent with just as much variety as others...but with far less information than the main continent)...
However, this has me interested as well. I think they had a map in Lost Kingdoms, and some information if I recall right (I'll have to look a copy again)...but I wouldn't mind something with more detail and a lot more information.

There are several that would be fun to see as campaign guide to books (64 plus page):
1. Everyone has been mentioning Galt in past posts. Both Galt and Nidal would be interesting realms to see fleshed out.
2. Kyonin, realm of the elves and Treerazer would be interesting to delve into.
3. Rahadoum. The legion and this area being anti-theist would be fun and interesting to dig into.
5. Mediogalti
6. Iobaria and the city states. With the cyclopean empire remnants mixing with humans to survive, the possibilities can be fun.
7. Geb or Nex. Both have fun histories, along with the Mana Wastes.

Yes to all these. As discussed before James and team, Arcadia, Vudra, the water lords make for an interesting and exciting new change.
