Viking Deity

Advice

Looking at making a Scald Metal Oracle. She's going Rage Prophet. No, really, she is going that direction.

I'd like her to have a deity; she's obviously a sailor. I have neither my books nor the books shared with me available to me at this moment. In trying to remember the various PF deities, I can't think of any one who would fit for a Scald god(dess). Besmara was the closest I could think of, but she's no pirate. A pantheon would be okay, too; I'm just looking for something that fits nicely within the character build. The great old ones would be okay, but I'm not sure Cthulhu is the answer.

Scarab Sages

Cayden Cailean might work. He is a hero-god of Stregnth, Freedom, and Ale. Hanspur might also work. Vikings traveled on rivers as mush as they did the ocean, and The Drowning rite is actually somewhat thematic if you are going for a sea/river reaver.

Gozreh.

Njord.

Scarab Sages

Minderhal and Thremyr might also be appropriate, as they are the gods of Stone and Frost Giants. Minderhal is worshiped by the Kellid, so that could be a hook.

The Ulfen of the Land of Linnorm Kings (essentially Vikings) primarily worship the deities of Torag, Erastil, and Gorum.

RPG Superstar 2012 Top 32

i was also going to mention Gorum (and, in fact, if you run into trouble with your build a cleric of Gorum with strength|ferocity and destruction|rage for domains would also fit your theme and be effective)

Gorum hands down for a heavy metal oracle :-)

Cthulhu is always the answer!

If he is not. Then you ask wrong!

Aegirran from Giants Revisited. Neutral Good storm giant god of sailors and voyages. Feels a lot like Njord and is even married to a huntress god named Skode (similar to Njord's wife Skadi).

There's another giant god that might work if you want an evil one. Can't remember the name but he is a god of salt and cold and loves treasure.
