I'm looking at building what's referred to in at least two sourcebooks as a white necromancer, a necromancer that chooses not to create undead, among the worshipers of Pharasma. (sources: Carrion Crown write up, Gods and Magic). Someone dedicated to figuring out the magical/mystical differences between life and death, and how the energies of undeath work (the better to disrupt them).
While maybe some more information will come out when Inner Sea Gods comes out, I wanted to start looking at ways to build a white necromancer for PFS play (which is why the White Necromancer from Kobold Quarterly is out of the running).
And yes... ok... I know there's the whole "OMGs UNDEAD ARE BAD and controlling undead is a logistical nightmare and necromancers = undead ... AHHH" thing going on.
This is *not* what I'm asking for build advice on, and I'd like to avoid the thread devolving into that.

I have not seen the articles you speak of, but I was looking at domains and thought Final Rest Inquistion and repose or healing. The duality of of it, life and death.
You don't create them but would you command them?
followers of pharasma belive it is their sared duty to destroy all undead and view undead as an abomination

I would say because pharisma is considered a "mad phrophet", i would be a cleric with the death (undead) and the knowledge domain.
choose the undeath variant channeling and have versitile channeling be your 3rd level feat.
all i can really think of.

Arcane:
Life school necromancer (apg) Concentrate on spells that kill and debilitate, but take no animate dead/ create dead. Also, wall of fire chews up indead.
Witch with the death or spirits (both um) patron might work, but witch doesn't have much in the way of anti-undead.
EDIT: Ninja'd!
Also:
Dirge bard from UM might fit the flavor.

If you are not going to become a minionmancer, then I also suggest to become a wizard. The Life subschool fits the flavor too.
Alternatively, you can become a thassilonian specialist of Gluttony and have tons of necromancy spells prepared. Make sure you have a cleric in your team though, because you lose Abjuration.
Probably the best mechanical benefit will come from specializing in Enervation.

He is referring to the White Necromancer class from Kobold Press which first appeared in Kobold Quarterly and is now part of the New Paths Compendium, also from Kobold Press. The book contains a number of new classes (spell-less ranger, shaman, battle scion, white necromancer, theurge, skin-changer, elven archer, and savant )
Unfortunately, as mgcady points out, these classes are not legal for PFS play :(
