RoTRL summoner, level 2 summoner, planning on going down the animal ally feat tree (I.E. Nature soul> Animal ally > Boon companion. now i know this is gonna be awhile away (Level 5 is when i get the animal ally feat and level 7 is when i get boon companion, unless i retrain my level 3 feat.)
now, how would you creative kids build this? I do want to be a tengu with the exotic weapons proficiency, with the thorn bow+ others so the tengu can be in the back shooting ( with penalties i know, but not shooting for damage, shooting stuff like pheromone arrows that if it does hit, +att and dmg on his pets)
i do want the eidolin to be humanoid shape, for i am going to be using him as the pc, and the tengu being a lifeless doll that the eidolin uses for his own purpose.
but how would you build the eidolin and animal?

This also has very high chance to hit with a 7 BAB weapon focus, charge, favored enemy and smite (if positive charisma) giving a 12+ charisma bonus. That's about all I have right now, I'm sure there are others that hurt more but this is a strange character that can really hurt.
Or swap out fighter for paladin 6 ranger 1 to get
8+2+12+9+6 (37 X3 =117) (33.5 X3 =100 damage on average)
I think you're confused, he said no stats, so the exercise is pointless for martial classes to participate in.
Edit: I don't even know how one casts spells or qualifies for feats without items or stats. we all know you can do point buy to get max a stat for damage, so they can still compete, but in reality, would you dump a stat to get something to +5?

technically speaking, it floats above the ground at 3 feet. the spell reads
You create a slightly concave, circular plane of force that follows you about and carries loads for you. The disk is 3 feet in diameter and 1 inch deep at its center. It can hold 100 pounds of weight per caster level. If used to transport a liquid, its capacity is 2 gallons. The disk floats approximately 3 feet above the ground at all times and remains level. It floats along horizontally within spell range and will accompany you at a rate of no more than your normal speed each round. If not otherwise directed, it maintains a constant interval of 5 feet between itself and you. The disk winks out of existence when the spell duration expires. The disk also winks out if you move beyond its range or try to take the disk more than 3 feet away from the surface beneath it. When the disk winks out, whatever it was supporting falls to the surface beneath it.
so if you build a fire underneath it, it will be raised 3 feet above the fire and wont cook efficently
also with force, RAW states
Force: Spells with the force descriptor create or manipulate magical force. Force spells affect incorporeal creatures normally (as if they were corporeal creatures) (ultimate magic)

also, no stats
the highest i can come up with is lvl 7 cleric, channel smite, worship of gorum, greatsword, using destructive smite and ferocious strike each die hitting the max number, the enemy failing their will save for channel negative, power attack, with only 1 hit.
6+6(weapon)+6(power attack)+6(destructive smite with ferocious strike)+6x4(channel damage)=48 damage on one hit
max damage you can come up with?
you could be a summoner. build the eidolon to be the scouty, making him small and boosting his sneak and perception, and you being the blaster ( or buffer, your choice)

*Boss supports*
A Goblin war drumming bard with a banner in the background, stealthy trying not to be seen, buffing up all of the others with the flag bearer feat if he gets spotted and has to come out of the shadows.
a cleric who does nothing but channel negative against the party, once again, in the shadows, or invisible
a summoner who, summons stuff rom the background ( see the whole hiding is shadows scheme going on?)
*preliminarys*
anything really that will damage the party alot, weaken them or try to get in their way
high dex rogues who will always try acrobats to get into flank
Barbarians SMASH
druids with goblin dogs
or have 3 snipers, hiding in the shadows, way up top, shooting them
If the goblins know they are coming, if they arent smart enough (i.e if you give them 7 int or lower) have them role int checks ( dc 15) if they know they need to get ready, buff themselfves up, have readied actions for things like obscuring mist and other debuffs. same if one of the preliminarys escapes and warns the boss.

You don't create them but would you command them?
followers of pharasma belive it is their sared duty to destroy all undead and view undead as an abomination
http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Pharasma
I would say because pharisma is considered a "mad phrophet", i would be a cleric with the death (undead) and the knowledge domain.
choose the undeath variant channeling and have versitile channeling be your 3rd level feat.
all i can really think of.
Nicos wrote: THe rogue can have the nature ally feat for an animal companion so he can use her own class features to deliever sneak attack. There is no need to hurt more your build. dont understand why you all are saying that multiclassing like this is hurting it, i literally have an answer for everything...
zauriel56 wrote: Are you familiar with druid armor? There are 2 if you wanna go heavy armor route. Stoneplate (+9 AC, +1 Dex, -7 armor check) and lamellar stone(+8 AC, +0 Dex, -7 armor check) or for medium you can go lamellar horn (+5 AC, +3 Dex, -4 armor check). Then you can still cast summon nature's ally i am, but right now, we are in the middle of nowhere, and dont have the time to go all the way back to magnimar.

Or really any components at all.
Core Rule Book wrote: Spell-Like Abilities (Sp)
Usually, a spell-like ability works just like the spell of that name. A spell-like ability has no verbal, somatic, or material component, nor does it require a focus. The user activates it mentally. Armor never affects a spell-like ability's use, even if the ability resembles an arcane spell with a somatic component. So unless there is a specific FAQ that counters this (and I would love the link if there is), then you are fine. Send hundreds of hawks to their death as they serve as decoys to distract enemies while the rogue stabs them in the kidneys. my bad, i was thinking of this one. good catch too.
FAQ wrote: The same rule should apply for all creatures with spell-like abilities, including PC races: the creature's spell-like abilities are presumed to be the sorcerer/wizard versions. If the spell in question is not a sorcerer/wizard spell, then default to cleric, druid, bard, paladin, and ranger, in that order. Use the spell type (arcane or divine) of that class to determine whether the spell-like ability is arcane or divine.
wraithstrike wrote: The rogue can SA without flanking, but he might have to rebuild the character. through feinting, yea but she is a tengu, and with a 2 handed ninja weapon ( i forget which one) she can 2claw 2 attack bite, each one, if they hit, deals +4d6

lemeres wrote: If you haven't dumped CHA, you could also use the summon monster SLA once the eidolon gets (inevitably) killed for the day. Summoner works fairly well for a dip like this since the SLA's summoned creatures last for minutes/level, so your meatbags could theoretically last the whole fight (ha...no). With just a CHA of 10, that means you can help the rogue out like this 3 more times per day.
And since you have paladin levels, I'll assume you have a positive CHA modifier, so that might well be 5 times per day. Heck, the eidolon is more of an accessory at that point.
summoning monsters is a spell like ability and a FAQ states that spell likes coming from an arcane class, counts as an arcane spell, so they have the arcane chance failure ( 85% for me, full plate and tower shield)
i was thinking druid but as soon as i do, i lose everything from it because, of metal armor. this is probably going to be the only arcane class i dip into, so it might be good if we get caught offguard when camping. and dont have my armor on.
but in no way is this charachter optimised, fun as heck and tons of options to chose from, but not optimised. a.k.a, the meat shield.

Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas, cause I really want to do this. a summoner in the advance players book allows you to evolve your pet in many of different ways, so with this, you can evolve your eidolon to look like, act like, and feel like a wyvern
Pan wrote: 7 levels and 7 different classes did I read that correctly? paladinx2 levels (for charisma to saves), gunslinger, (warpriest, bloodrager, slayer) from the advanced class guide *gm ok* and now leveling into summoner for the flanking

hey all, i just leveled up in the ROTRL campagin ( now level 7) and am an assortment of classes ( each level basically a different class) and i went down the bodyguard feat tree. now, with the way my party is set up ( tank, rogue, healer, ranger, and mage) i want to be right next to the person i want so i can aid another them to make sure either the attack misses them or i get hit instead. but because of this, our rogue cannot get her Sneak attack off, but while browsing through the classes, i saw the summoners eidolon.
now, the way i see it, the eidolon, to me, is just a way around for me to be in 2 places at once, so the rouge can flank, and i can tank. now, because its gonna be a single level dip, i need to optimise this eidolon to be the best darn hardest thing to hit, which, i would love to hear some suggestions from you.
what i have so far is:
a small eidolon, -4 str -2 con +2 dex +1 size ac
aquatic: Str 12, Dex 16, Con 13, Int 7, Wis 10, Cha 11
evolutions:
Improved natural armor
Ability score increase (dex+2)
Feat:
leaning towards dodge but willing to take antagonize
here is how its gonna work flank, full defense or fight defensively, and that's it. if he does get hit, life link ability kicks in and i take the damage, so the -2 con from small size wont affect me at all since it will only have a max of 10 hp anyways.
so 20, 24 with mage armor, 28 from shield, 30 from fighting defensivly
10(dex+5 size+1 Nat Armor +4 mage armor+4 shield+4)
his damage is gonna be crap though, 1d3-1 but meh, worth it to help the rouge get off her +426 sneak attack.
anything you want to add in? or another class i should level in instead of this to help it out?

If you give a rogue full bab, no matter how you build your fighter, the rogue will always out damage, making the fighter obsolete, with the rogues combat feat trick. which, is on par with the fighters combat feats. so, a dual wielding rouge at lvl 6 with full bab, would have 4 attacks, each dealing +3d6 extra damage with flank.
