Stealth Chameleon Alchemist

Advice

- Human
- Katana
- Vivesectionist, Saboteur Alchemist

For a political campaign, so stealth is important.

And I thought Count Coltello's original posts were irreconcilably vague.

What on Earth are you looking for, exactly?

I need help with the feats for this build. And maybe the level dips.

Grand Lodge

Books allowed?

Point buy?

ACG Playtest classes allowed?

4d6 drop the lowest for points, and yes all pathfinder material, nothing banned.

Dark Archive

What is 4d4 buy?

Yay, he edited for clarity.

That's not a point buy, that's you rolling the dice to determine your stats.

Let's all assume for one minute he has an idea what he's talking about. What feats are good for an alchemist? I honestly don't know.

Since you mention stealth, katana, and vivisectionist specifically, I recommend Weapon Finesse.

What you need to do is write up, in greater detail, what you would like to do with the character.

Grand Lodge

You cannot finesse a Katana.

Extra Discovery. I think most (if not all) discoveries are worth more than a feat. Also power attack if str, or weapon finesse and piranha strike if dex.

A katana is not finesseable.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

Well, here's the second part.

Well since you need to be a gnome to be a saboteur good luck. But the gnome saboteur alchemist is great at it since you get the bonus to stealth for being small.

Grand Lodge

Why not the ACG Investigator class?

I knew that...

Oops!

How do you want to play your Gnome? He'll have to be one if you're going to go Saboteur archtype.
My recommendation is to go Saboteur/Grenadier instead. You can play the psychopathic laughing mad bomber and use something like a longbow or repeating crossbow to fire your explosives at a long distance while still being completely invisible.
If you're pals with a necromancer, you can get a feat or two and then implant bombs into zombies and set them loose upon guards barracks.

But an Elven Curve Blade is, and if you put an ECB and a Katana side by side, I doubt you could tell the difference.

Say it with me, ray-shul hair-it-igde (racial heritage:gnome would let him be a human saboteur). Also, any logical DM would let him do it anyways. It's not like it makes any sense that only gnomes can blow things up. Oh yeah, because almost alchemist can do that.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

...what kind of politics do they have where you're from?

A Galtan Gnome Saboteur/Grenadier!
Ha! What a marvelous idea! Alignment? Chaotic Neutral. The anarchist in his purest form. Glorious!

Assuming that works, your first lv couldn't be in alchemist, because you decide your class lv and any archetypes before your feats.
