The thing about retiring Eyes of the Ten, especially in contrast to retiring First Steps 2 and 3, is that everyone talks about how it's an amazing series and everyone wants to play it - so people need to race to get a character to level 12, which isn't trivial.
Even then, you need to find 3 other people who have done the same thing, in the same locale (or online), and a GM willing to run it.
So if it's really getting retired, we want to be racing now.

OK, I realize it's spoilered in the initial post, but that is SUCH a massive spoiler that I wish someone could go back and change the text to something like:
FYI, the answer is almost certainly that the scenarios won't be updated. (See other threads about why season 0 scenarios have not been updated from 3.5 to PFS rules.)

it is a problem having to choise between which of my characters I wanted to run thru it... (eye roll)...
but then, having two "seeker" arcs wouldn't help all that much, 'cause I'd have to decide which character I would run in which one... and there would only be two!

Play twice run twice, that will get 1/4 of your characters through :)

LOL! yeah, but which ones do I run in which arch?!

Eyes of the Ten was written during the Josh Frost era. I could see retiring it because of Part IV alone, the other parts to a lesser extent, because of the big reveals about the Society perhaps conflicting with the current leadership's version of the Society.
On top of that, Eyes's CRs don't match up with the power-crept six-player assumption of today's tables, and it has faction missions.

I hope it gets retired. Then I can run it for my players for no credit and adjust the CRs accordingly.

Same here, TOZ. To my mind it's more "Hey! This happened, go do this!" Sure there are recurring characters and the like, but nothing really unified. At least until they start misbehaving in Season 2.

Which is why I see many people limiting the table to four slots.

Except people that haven't experienced it already will want to play it for credit. And you cannot adjust the CR when you run it for credit.
If it gets retired, then when my newer players hit 12, I can run them through it for their first time, and make it as challenging as needed.

Yeah, that's fair.

I've only been through the first fight (or two, depending on how you count), but it seems like the challenge factor wasn't exactly low for those, and we blew through almost all our high level spells.
When you hit level 13 before the last parts, it's a noticeable power jump when you get 7th level spells and BAB 12+ required feats on your melee types. Raging Brutality is pretty stupid good.

The only issue with Eyes is hat it is written for characters who played seasons 0 and 1 mostly. Retired PC's who started characters from the UC and UM, have shown some power game which isn't their fault those books just allow allot of cheese. Despite this it run's well for a 6 player table despte being written for 4, just don't run 7 it will go longer and not be nearly as much fun.

I'd like to see two double-length scenarios in the new arc. Take 'em from 12th to 14th.
As in two double-length scenarios and two single-length? Just two double-length scenarios and nothing else? It's already pretty difficult for me to get through the whole story in one marathon weekend!

When Big K ran it for us I think we broke the 40 hour mark over a long weekend--or at least I have over 40 hours of audio recordings of it!

That's correct. And your difficulty sounds like a personal problem. :)
Note: The above is based on no experience with the current arc and should be taken aa serious development advice at your own risk.

Well I have been fortunate enough to have played through Eyes of the ten, in late 2012, and now I have an opportunity to re-play through Eyes of the Ten now.
The first character I played through eyes of the ten had all season 0 and Season 1 scenarios. I was lucky enough to play with a GM, and two other players whose characters i had leveled my character up with, the other two players I knew, but my character hadn't adventured with thier characters before. their characters had adventured together before. We also played at the GM's home.
For us it was a very hard slog, we had a human Wizard Evoker, a human Cleric/Sorcerer split equally, a arcane archer (Ranger/Wizard/Arcane Archer) a Fighter specialized in archery who could be a meat shield, and my character, a Cleric/ Wizard/ Mystic Theurge. We pulled together and got through. We had fun.
My character because of the scenarios he had played through, dovetailed very nicely into the plot of Eyes of the ten.
Our present group consists of a Barbarian ( with some sort of dragon archtype) an inquisitor of Asmodeus, a ranger/rogue, a Mystic Theurge ( Druid/wizard/mystic theurge and my character a magus 10/arcane archer 2.
So far we have done fine. It hasn't been a big problem that my character doesn't have very many season 0 or 1 chronicles in his background. We are enjoying things so far.
I do hope that we can keep Eyes of the Ten.

I can see what you mean if it was a normal scenario, but I don't see a full group of six players with 12th level characters at any of the cons that I have been to that it was run at.
Maybe I'm just in the wrong part of the country and there are a ton of EotT tables with six players on them, but I haven't seen it.

We've already got two volunteers for GM from the current run going on. I'd be glad to have you on the team. :)
I asked to run high Tier for Siege as well, a true test of my mental stamina :D
Having run both 10-11 and 12-13 subtiers, let me know if you have any questions. :)
