Top 10 Favorite Mythic spells by class.

Advice

I'm actually most interested in the top 10 favorite epic Wizard spells as that's what I'll be using.

However I assume people may want to bring up other classes. So Please list your top 10 per class favorite mythic spells and why concentrating mostly on the best wizard mythic spells. Thank you.

As a dex-magus, I've been using mythic reduce person & mythic force punch. Force punch (in general) is great for pushing people back into an acid pit (created by our summoner) and the extra damage is appreciated.

Edit: i dont really have a top 10 yet, but I'm experimenting. Mythic dimension door is disappointing though.

Oh, Here's a list for reference.

Mythic spell lists.

For wizard:

1. Mythic time stop

2. Mythic time stop

3. Mythic time stop

4. Mythic time stop

5. Mythic time stop

6. Mythic time stop

7. Mythic time stop

8. Mythic time stop

9. Mythic time stop

10. Mythic time stop

Why? Because your whole party having hours while time is stopped for everyone else is amazing.

I'm no expert, but i'm thinking you like Mythic Time stop.

Terraform is kind of cool.

I'm just disappointment there are no really impressive mythic magus spells...

Silver Crusade

I have no idea how great the other mythic spells jump up, but mythic shocking grasp are d8s and you get a free disarm w/o provoking? Seems pretty good to me.

Mythic Endure Elements. Because [censored] you, winter weather effects for bow-using Rangers!

I command this thread to live again. I'm actually playing a mythic caster now, so opinions would be appreciated.

Mythic Greater Magic Vestment: Free, mutable, armor abilities.

Mythic Haste. Everything your melee teammates ever wanted, in a nice third-level spell.

Noted and added to my list of wants.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Mythic fireball I have ended so many encounters with that spell and I once blew up a little army

Mythic Baleful Polymorph. Who doesn't enjoy emulating Greek myth.

Mythic Aroden's Spellbane. Be immune to all of the nasty spells.

Mythic Contingency. Be prepared for all the horrible, unexpected, situations.

Mythic Heroism. Hey, its effectively a level 6 greater heroism with a 10 minute/level duration.

Mythic Limited/Wish. Pretty much a complete get out of jail free card.

Mythic Fireball is kinda cool, d10s instead of d6s is a nice damage boost. The ability to Fireball Fire Elementals to death should never be underestimated.

Mythic Confusion is nice because every option on the mythic chart is worse than the non-mythic version.

Mythic Floating Disk is cool because you can now ride your own disk, and you can teleport with it.

Mythic Mage Armor and Mythic False Life are just better than the originals in every way.

Legendary Games have all the missing core rulebook spells which helps a little, but there will be a hardcover release of all pathfinder spells in mythic form soon-ish!

Edit: see here Mythic Mania

Explain Mythic Contingency for me.

So basically you can have 1+1/2 tier on yourself or you can place a contingency on someone else. Is that about the size of it?

Mythic Contingency for reference:
You can cast this spell on yourself or another willing creature as if the spell had a range of touch. A companion spell placed on another creature must be a spell from you, not from the creature, and affects that creature when triggered. The target can have only one contingency spell upon it at a time unless it also knows mythic contingency. The number of companion spells you can have on yourself is equal to 1 + half your tier.

Augmented (5th): If you expend two uses of mythic power, the casting time changes to 1 full round plus the casting time of the companion spell, but the duration of mythic contingency decreases to 1 hour per level or until discharged

I prefer...
Enduring Armor (Su)

You are protected by armor made of force. This armor grants you an armor bonus to AC equal to 3 + your tier. This ability is an abjuration effect with a spell level equal to your tier. If this armor is dispelled or otherwise ended, you can reactivate it as a swift action.

...to mage armour.

Yea, that whole # of creature limit is out the window. Hey guys, Hop on this board on my floating disk. Stop just before hitting 2800 lbs.

True. However, Enduring armor is an epic ability. Mage armor is one small fraction of an epic ability. Plus mage armor has 50% fortification.

Both have benefits. It depends on what you're looking for and what you're willing to spend to get it.

Grand Lodge

When I played WotR I used the most I took Mythic spell lore 2x but these where my go to spells:
Mythic Haste, Time Stop, Black Tentacles, Protection From Evil, Fly, Limited Wish, Contingency, Dispel Magic, Mirror Image, and Ray of Enfeeblement.

As for other then Wizard spells:

Mythic Silence is GOOD.
Mythic Bless
Mythic Death Knell- So strong...being Evil is so good.
Mythic Spiritual Weapon
Mythic Blessing Of Fervor
Mythic Blade Barrier- This thing is powerful.

Mythic Saving Finale

Mythic Barkskin

I will be honest the Wizard/Sorcerer list got the most out of the Mythic Upgrade.

** spoiler omitted **

That is my understanding of it. Essentially you can have a load of different spells all set to trigger for the same or different events. The potential action economy savings or the ability to prepare for the unexpected is huge.

Dark Archive

Mythic Magic Missile is pretty awesome.

Bless (I like the extra save)
Divine Favor (put my 1st level slots to good use on others)
Shield of Faith (nice boost)
Silence
Dispel Magic (beware a full caster armed with this and flexible counterspell)
Blessing of Fervor (goes from useful to pretty good)
Planeshift (finally on target)
Blade Barrier (as intermediate action this is great)
Holy Word (with the added tiers this works...maybe too good)
Antimagic Field (an end to many problems)

Obviously I am no wizard and being a spontaneous caster I can make use of the ability to hammer a spell home. Traditional casters may find others maybe more useful.
The arcane casters got the better deal (as always *sigh* I suppose it is the penance for being good in 3.5 ;)) with mythic spells, but the divine list is not that great to begin with.

Pathfinder Adventure Path, Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Mythic raise thread seems to work alright, too.

Does anyone have suggestions for a witch, actually? A Cartomancer, specifically. I'm playing one and having a tough time finding good spells to take mythic versions of (especially lower-level ones). Deception patron because it works better for story reasons, even though it's not ideal for archetype.

What about Bloodrager? Just curious.
