For the curious and/or those on tenterhooks, at this point, the Editors-in-Chief have probably finished their review of the final editing and the articles will be shortly sent on to layout (if they haven't already). Art has probably already started to come in as well. Baring any hiccups, proofing will take place at the end of the month and then it's on to the printers.
(This is all based on Tim's & Paris' schedule for this issue and past issues. I possess no unique slaadisight or wiretapping capabilities.)

Whew! I was worried there for a sec. Thought I was going to have to re-do the tinting on my wind....Hey! I *have* no tinting on my windows!
Well, however she knew, I can confirm that Ms. Slaad's assessment is pretty accurate.
I've finished my final editorial passes and done some of the work on formatting the documents to get them ready for layout. Tim is taking over doing his final "Big Boss" editing pass and doing the rest of the formatting, so I can make some serious progress on a freelance project I'm doing for Paizo.
Unlike the last issue, when "life stuff" got both Tim and me behind schedule, we're doing pretty well, this time. I think it's safe to say that, barring any unforeseen problems, we are on track for an on-time publication at PaizoCon 2014.
That said, if you want to help with a big piece of this project, I suggest that you spread the word about the fanzine and let folks know that, for a $15 donation plus shipping and handling, they can get a paper copy of this issue. If you have a Paizo subscription, we can even arrange to have your copy shipped with your subscription package to cover the shipping costs.
There are also print copies of issues #3, #5, #8 and #9 available in the Paizo store (http://paizo.com/companies/paizoFansUnited). Funds for those copies will be passed on as donations to Wayfinder, too.
All donations go to help us offset printing costs. (Per the CUP, none of the Wayfinder staff gets any money for what we do.) I'm not sure exactly how many copies we're printing, yet, but I do know that this will be our largest print run ever for Wayfinder. We ran out of copies very quickly at last year's con, so we will be printing as many as our budget will allow. If you have more questions, contact us at the wayfinder(dot)fanzine(at)gmail address or via our Facebook page.
Cheers!
Paris
Wayfinder Assistant Editor-in-Chief

Being a bit of a web store noob, is there a donate product link or some way of making such an option easy to find for anyone we tell who might be interested in such?
Sorry if it's a daft question, unfortunately I am one of those people that always ask the "obvious" questions.

![]() |

Hi, Anthony!
We don't have a place where you can make a direct donation via the Paizo store. Paizo supports us by letting us offer the paper copies in exchange for donations, but we are very careful about our relationship with "the mothership." We don't want to put them (or us) in a bad position. I'm not sure that putting up such a link would do so, but I'm also not sure it wouldn't, and we always try to err on the side of caution.
Donations can be made via PayPal, though. Here's the link for that:
Donate to Wayfinder via PayPal here!

I want to clarify that the entire section of my post quoted above was intended to be funny. I think my attempt at a joke may have failed, so I want to make sure that everyone knows that our resident lady slaad's assessment was (a) correct and (b) in no way inappropriate.

Issues 6 and 10 are the only two I don't have in print.
Is it ever likely a print run will ever be funded for these two?

#6 is done and gone. #10 is solely contingent on how much funding is left after the print costs of #11. If funding allows, I will try and print a small number of copies of #10 available for a donation, first at PaizoCon, and then in the Paizo store, pending permission from Paizo of course. I don't do any of this without Paizo's OK first.
Honestly though, if you really want a copy of the even issues, just go to your local print shop with the PDF, and ask them to print it in book form...in color even. They should be able to do a decent job.
Oh, snap....I think I just talked people out of donating.....dang it!

I really want a print copy of this new one when it comes out if there are copies left after Paizo con since its the first one I got an article in and attending is sadly a no go for me can't wait to see it though, edited some great articles.
Nate....you are an editor AND a contributor. All editors, contributors, and artists, plus donors, get a complimentary copy. Consider it your payment.
We arrange to have the Paizo Store put the copies in subscription shipments, or just as an order. You just need to pay shipping. Paizo is cool like that.....

Hey, Wayfinder fans! Just a quick update on status from the Assistant Editor-in-Chief.
EiC Tim has been working hard on finalizing document formats, catching the mistakes I missed, and sending the files over to our layout gurus so they can work their magic. He's also been wrangling the art pieces that we hadn't already received.
Once we have the draft layout copy ready to go, we'll be enlisting the help of our editing staff to do the proofreading with the goal of ferreting out all of those pesky typos before we go to print, which we want to do at least a few weeks prior to PaizoCon.
As for your friendly neighborhood AEiC, Tim has been gracious enough to give me time to work on another Paizo freelance project. It's the first time I've worked on this type of thing for Paizo. I shouldn't say exactly what it is, yet, but it should be released at PaizoCon, and it's a great opportunity for me. I'm very grateful to our fearless leader for holding the reins during this phase of Wayfinder production.

::wishes he had that fancy Gauntlet from the Paizo offices to defend himself against Gninja Liz's katana...at least briefly::
I should say that it's something new for me, not for Paizo. ;)
I'll give y'all a hint: I've already contributed to Pathfinder Player Companion and Campaign Setting books. Now, I have the opportunity to write something in a different format.

I think it was but can't find the post that specifically said so. I have found a few that say "potential theme" in this thread.
So what you can do is make some Osirion themed submissions and wait for the call announcement. That way, if it is finally, irrevocably confirmed by that submission call, you are well prepared - and if, shock, horror, it's a curve ball theme, then you have prepared by practicing and can keep them for when the issue is Osirion.
Either way, you are on a win-win. :)

Osirion it is, unless Tim has secretly decided to change it. ;)
Also, it appears that I didn't need to be as coy as I thought about what I was working on. It's already got a product page with my name on it:
PFS #5-25 Vengeance at Sundered Crag. It's my first Paizo adventure credit!

I know the B&W print version is going to be its own special kind of awesome, but I really hope everyone that gets a print copy at PaizoCon also downloads the PDF too... because this issue's art looks amazing in color.
Also, as I proofread, I'm noticing how easily all the authors managed to channel Chelaxian mindsets for their articles. :)
