So I was thinking of making a class based off the paper-users from the the manga/anime R.o.D. (Read or Die / Read or Dream). Looking around I could only find mention of paper themed wizards/scrollmaster here and this from-scratch here.
The from scratch one isn't a bad start but it just didn't feel right. My idea was something like the way rogues gain talents.
I was thinking of using the non-fighter BAB progress, d8 hit dice, good Will/Ref saves and bad Fort save. For proficiencies I was thinking simple weapons and light armor.
For special abilities, I was thinking something like 'bardic knowledge' and 'paper manipulation' to start with. Eventually gaining 'paper tricks' to access more paper uses or enhancements of some kind. Maybe gaining magical enhancements to their constructs by using scrolls in the construction.

I'd also say to add in something like an oracle mystery and curse set up.
Bookless - Loses abilities to form more complex paper manipulations, but doesn't have a book dependency. Limited to cutting and hardening only.
Fantasy - Suffers a need to read fantasy type books, and there are some negatives to this as well in combat and the like. Possibly needs to read fantasy books to regain manipulation points. But can 'cast' summon monster and call natures alley by forming a paper version of the creature.
Romance - Same suffering as fantasy but for romance novels, but gains the ability to form a weapons out of paper and enchant them.
Horror - Dependent on horror novels. Can form complex 'buffing' effects via paper. (Based off the series, and the Chinese paper master a bit)
Possibly a universalist version to represent Agent Paper and her ability to do pretty much what the three sisters could do.

I looked at the 'scrollmaster' and the 'onmyoji' and they are both neat ideas, but not what I was looking for. I'm not trying to just make wizard variant.
I really like what you made there Graystone. I tried to build on what you started to make it more PF friendly, so far I got this:
Role: Papermasters can touch on several roles in and out of combat. They can stand as a defense against harm, protecting their allies and themselves with walls and shields of paper. They can target enemies at a distance, using weapons of paper to cross the distance or some prefer to strike quickly and deadly, keeping their opponents guessing as they quickly change weapons and tactics. While others have learned to be quiet and sneaky, catching their enemies off guard with the strange abilities that only papermasters can pull from the seeming harmless sheets of paper.
Out of combat, papermasters can draw on their extensive knowledge and utiliarian paper powers to aid their party members in many ways.
Alignment: Any
Hit Dice: d8
Class Skills:Acrobatics, Appraise, Bluff, Climb, Craft, Disguise, Escape Artist, Knowledge (any), Linguistics, Perception, Preform, Profession, Sense Motive, Sleight of Hand, and Stealth
Skill Ranks per Level: 4+Int modifier ( I was gonna set this higher, but I had the idea that the papermaster would gain bonus skill ranks that could only be used on certain skills )
BAB: The slower progression, maxing at +15/+10/+5
Saves: Fort: bad (maxing @ +6) Ref and Will: good (both maxing @ +12)
As for class features I'm still trying to sort them out. I liked some of Graystone's ideas and wanted to tweak them as well as add my own ideas. (I hope you don't mind Graystone.) I also liked the idea of 'paper feat's. I want to give the class some flexibility since the idea is that the paper resounds to the wielder, it would lend itself to and augment their chosen style.
