Alchemist and point blank shot

Rules Questions

Shadow Lodge

Does an alchemist's bombs qualify for the point blank shot feat? For that matter can grenade weapons in general qualify for the benefits of point blank?

Point Blank Shot:
Benefit: You get a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with ranged weapons at ranges of up to 30 feet.

Yes, point blank shot affects any ranged weapon. And an alchemist's bombs are a ranged weapon.

But I don't know if you get the +1 to damage. I don't think you do

Grand Lodge

It works on Acid Splash, and it works on Alchemist Bombs.

This is absolute RAW.

FAQ

Do I add the extra damage from Point-Blank Shot to the splash damage dealt by a splash weapon?
No, the extra damage from Point-Blank Shot only applies to the target of a direct hit with a splash weapon (including direct hits from an alchemist's bomb).

So... yes to point blank shot giving a bonus to hit, no to the extra point of damage.

Speaker for the Dead, that isn't entirely correct. The FAQ stated that you do get the damage for the direct hit but not the splash damage.

So the correct answer is both yes and no.
Yes, Point Blank Shot gives a +1 damage for the direct hit.
No, Point Blank Shot does not give +1 damage for the splash damage.

Here is the FAQ Link for everyone.

Fair enough.
