It is much easier to have the clause of using a feat multiple times, as most feats can only be taken once. If people assume feats can be taken multiple times, then overpowered things can happen; multiple improved initiatives, power attacks, weapon finesses, and spell perfections can get ridiculous quickly.

Actually, you can easily get the same feat twice. However, its benefits usually do not stack, per the line in the CRB : "If a character has the same feat more than once, its benefits do not stack unless indicated otherwise in the description."
In other words, you cannot get the benefits of Signature Deed a second time (even with a different deed) because it lacks that Special line allowing for its benefits to stack ;-)
I guess that Extra Channel's benefits also apply only once, even if you have several sources of Channel that could be affected (like being both an Oracle of Bones and a good Cleric).
