A bone for the Rogue - Investigator Talents

Red Mage in another thread added this as an aside concept and I feel strongly enough about it that I think its worth adding here. Tip of the hat here.

I won't jump on the 'Rogues be useless' bandwagon here, but I will say they have increasingly stiff competition from new classes and archetypes. If Rogues are at least able to access the newer 'toys' they become a bit like the fighter in so far as flexibility is concerned. Its not much, but its something.

Much of the rest of the content in the book will be ways for other classes to "get their feet wet" by picking up abilities from the new classes in this book.

Liberty's Edge

This could be an interesting place to discuss ways to make the rogue...well...roguish.

I always though minor and major magic could use a bump. Not to mention the wand using rogue is something that could be helped with a talent, perhaps the ability to take 10 in UMD checks?

Maybe we can brainstorm some ideas for rogue only rogue talents.

I mean, this will probably end in tears...but we can try.

My top of head suggestions.

- Take 10 on UMD, even in combat (hurray rogue wand master)
- feint as an attack action.
- Tumble to reposition to flank as swift actions.

Etc...

What rogue talents (rogue only) would help. And yes I know other classes can generally take some rogue talents, one problem at a time...)

Grand Lodge

I may save that for another time Ciretose. Theres about a dozen threads on the rogue but the ONLY thing that will properly save the class is Pathfinder 2nd Ed... which is likely 3 years away or so.

Somewhat OT, but this might mean the arcanist immediate action counterspell might be available to other classes too?
